Have you ever had the feeling...No the urge to hunt or to just run wild? Well I do.
I have had the feeling for as long as I can remember but it was never this strong.
Tonight was just a normal night,it was the night before my eighteenth birthday and I was sitting in my chair staring outside at the moon wondering just how far I could run to reach it.
I pulled out my phone. '11:50' "Ten more minutes until I'm eighteen yayy." I thought sarcastically. Even though I had 'The urge' it wasn't bothering me as much,so I just shrugged it off.
As time past it was now one minuet left. That's when I felt it the burning pain in my stomach. I groaned in pain as I fell out of my chair. Once I regained my posture I tried to stand but the pain was to unbearable so when I got up I stumbled into the bathroom.
When I looked at myself in the mirror I had sweat dripping from my forehead. Then the pain burned again as I screwed my eyes shut from the Excruciating pain. When I opened my eyes again they weren't the same emerald green ones as before but now they a much darker shade of yellow.
"What the fuck" I growled under my breath. This is a dream I'm dreaming. I thought. But in dreams you can't feel physical pain. Just then I felt the pain again. And Again. My entire body was burning with a sharp pain like pins and needles. I looked up once again and saw that my teeth didn't look like my normal teeth now they look more k-nine? Wait no this can't be happening. The urge was so strong that it was like a magnet pulling me outside. So I jumped out my bathroom window.( I know crazy right.) As I thought I was going to fall on my ass I landed on all fours. What the actual hell is going on? But just like that I blacked out . Well not fully but all of my human traits disappeard. I wasn't Lauren any more I was someone else. Something else.
As I ran though my back yard towards the woods I felt free,I felt as if nothing could hurt me.
I ran and I ran I could smell and feel everything and it was AMAZING.
As I was running I smelled something, I followed the new scent and then came to a stop. I saw her a beautiful brown furred wolf. As I walked around the moonlit pound she was currently drinking from. I looked down into the water only to see my own reflection. It did not look like me but it was it was somewhat strange but it felt right. I had similar features as the mysterious wolf across from me but my fur was much darker.
I looked up only to see the other wolf was looking ate intently and walking towards me. I mimicked her movements and we stopped when we were inches apart.
Her scent was almost addicting.. No her scent was addicting. A few moments later the other wolf perked her head up as if she had thought of something then she pounced on me playfully.
Once we were done wrestling she started to back away and going the opposite direction. But she stopped when she noticed that I wasn't following her.
She whined and tilted her head to the side as if she was pouting. She wants me to follow her.why? My inner human told me to head back home but, the wolf was just to strong so I followed her.
We ran though the woods like a couple of animals. Which we were. And it felt like I was on cloud nine.
We ran for hours and hours until we got tired and spotted a near by shed that we soon entered.
Once we were settled inside we both drifted off to sleep cuddled up into a ball
