A tribute

27 2 1

She's dead.

I know she is
But my heart denies

She's gone.

I'll never see her again
Or hear her peaceful purr

I lost her.

I'll never stroke her softest fur
Or feel her endless love

Alone.

I can't help her now
Neither can she help me

Lost.

I can search forever
But I'll never find her

Searching.

I hope when I too cross that path
I'll see her at peace without pain

Not alone.

She's safe now with them
All the others who went before

At peace.

I hope they have light and joy
Wherever they go when they leave

Thomasina, oh Thomasina
I love you beyond these gates
The gates which keep us apart
Death cannot kill love
And I love you
I love you no matter what
I love the way you purr
It brings joy to all who hear
I love your quiet calm
Which settles the harshest storms
I love your soft fur
Even if I can't always tell you apart from a tree
More than that though
I love you.
I love you, Thomasina
I love you with all my heart
And I know you love me too
Wherever you may be
Love never dies
And you are made of love
You'll live forever in my heart
And in the heart of those who know
What a treasure you are
No matter what I say or do
You always love and forgive
Because of you I do the same
Or try to, though I fail
Thank you for all you've taught me
Thank you for your love
Thank you for everything
Thank you for being you
