~Kiren's POV~
I groaned as I slowly sat up. It took me a moment to realize Lance was under me. Our eyes lock with each other as everything that happened came flooding back. My eyes going wide as I looked down at the now stump that was once my arm. I tried not to panic. Yes I lost my arm, Yes it was going to be annoying, but Lance was okay, which I hoped meant the others were too. I took a deep breath, looking back down at the blue paladin with a small painful smile. "Hey there... uh... I should probably get off you..."
I stood up, holding my stump as Lance got to his own feet. Looking into his blue eyes, I could see guilt as his look at what was left of my limb. "Why did you try and save me like that...?" His question surprised me. I honestly didn't have an answer. At the time, something just kind of... happened. I felt a strong desire to protect this human in front of me, regardless of what might of happened. The more I thought about it, the more I came to realize why I felt so attached to him, "You remind me of someone." The look Lance sent me, was one of curiosity. I smiled, "Maybe we should go somewhere a little more comfortable."
The blue paladin nodded, he led me through the halls and to his room. Once we were sat on his bed, he asked me, "Who could I remind you of that would make you want to protect me?" I looked at the roof, getting comfortable, "His name was Lukailia, he was the blue paladin when I was red. He was a goofball and a bit of an idiot." Lance looked hurt, which made me laugh, "But he was also sweet, and charming and god was he cute." Lance's cheeks turn a little pink, "Sounds like you were close." I leaned back against a wall, my cheeks heating up, "You could say that... he was my partner in crime. We fought a bit, but when the chips were down we had each other's backs." My fist clenched, "But I failed him in the end... I failed my entire team in the end."
I sighed, turning to the blue paladin beside me and smiled, "I just... I can't bring myself to let anyone down like that again... Especially all of you." Lance looked as though he was thinking as the room fell into silence. Moments passed and neither of us spoke, until Lance did, "When we first met you... Allura... well, called you a traitor." I laughed bitterly, "Depends who you talk to, though I guess I'm a traitor to both sides at this point. My father is Zarkon, my mother was an Altean women. When the destruction of Altean took place, I sided with my father. I realized my mistake too late to stop it. Instead, I followed king Alfor's final order, I escaped with the guardians, as I watch my home, my friends... my family all fall." I looked down a my hand, "The blood of Altea is as much on my hands as it is on my father's. That is why Allura as every right to hate me and why it only makes me feel worse to see Coran still treating me as he did all those years ago."
Lance placed a hand on my shoulder, "Everyone makes mistakes..." I smiled, looking at the paladin a little sadly, "Yes... but most people's mistakes don't cause the death of an entire planet." The blue paladin seemed to try and think of something to say, so I placed my hand on his head, "Don't worry. I have accept my mistakes. The past can not be changed and I know my relationship with the princess won't ever be what it use to be." Lance seemed to frown slightly at my statement. I yawned, still a little tired. I stood up and smiled down at Lance, "Anyway. I think I'll head back to my room." Lance stood up, shaking his head and pushed me down on to his bed, "Nope. You can rest here. Your rooms pretty far, so just use my room form now." I looked up, as I went to respond, but Lance's expression made me close my mouth, "Okay... Wake me later?"
The blue paladin nodded and left the room. I sighed, relaxing on his bed and closing my eyes. He was way to similiar to Lukailia... that was going to be a problem.
~Lance's POV~
I left Kiren in my room and went to find Allura. I was still curious about 'Lukailia' but I didn't want to push the former paladin too much. The look on his face as he talked about the old blue paladin... it was one that showed me just how much Kiren must have cared. It didn't take me long to get to the princess's room. With a knock on the door and a 'Come in' I entered. "Ah, Lance what can I help you with?" Allura smiled at me, and for once I didn't feel the urge to flirt with her. "I wanted to ask you something... about the old paladins." Her smile fell a little as she sat on her bed and patted the spot beside her. "What do you want to know?"
"What were they like? The ones that fought along side Kiren?" Allura frowned, " Lance--" I looked at her with pleading eyes. "Please. I just... I want to know." The princess sighed, and nodded. "They were the second generation of paladins. Kiren was the red paladin, he was similar to Keith in some aspects, but he also could be quite the tease. The black paladin was a gentle, but strong leader, his name was Zandra. Green was a young girl named Lola, she was sassy and implosive, but far more logical then the others. Their yellow paladin was a strong man, his will was like iron, his name was Kilia. And the blue paladin..." The princess's voice drifted off, "Lukailia." Allura looked at me surprised, "How...?"
"I was talking with Kiren before... and he mentioned him." Allura nodded, "Luka was my adopted brother. He was a good kid... who fell for the wrong person. Kiren and Luka were together for majority of the time they were paladins together. They would tease each other, argue, there were moments where they'd stop talking for weeks. But they were inseparable. They loved each other... and Kiren let him die..." My eyes were wide, my cheeks a little pink. After all, Kiren had just said that I reminded him of his dead boyfriend, so I'm wasn't entirely sure how to feel. I thanked Allura before standing and leaving the room. Feeling more confused then ever.

Hello lovely readers! It is I, Your author.
So, I'm putting this here in order to suggest something? I guess? I don't know. What I do know is that, for a while I've been thinking that, when I'm writing stories, especially original ones, I like working with other people and bouncing ideas off each other. So, I would like to say this. If any of you have Ideas for one of my fanfics, or an original idea you don't know what to do with, feel free to let me know.
While most of the time I'm not much of a people person, when it comes to stories, comics, characters. All that fun stuff. I love working with others. So, don't be scared to let me know if any of you have ideas.
Also, I put up an original story called, 'Avalor: Mareridian rebellion' and there's also 'The Phantom.'
Anyway, that all from me for now. Till next time.
Kiren~
