“I don't understand what you're talking about” Taehyun said.
“There have been several strange killings these days. People's souls have been eaten by a demon and I have reason to believe that you're that demon” Yeon Joo said.
Taehyun scoffed and scowled. He grabbed her throat and squeezed. “Why do you think it's me, how could you even ask me that?” Taehyun asked. Yeon Joo stared directly into his eyes “Several people have been murdered, one of them is a little girl who had her whole life ahead of her and nobody knows anything! Souls have been eaten by a demon and I suspect that you are that demon” Yeon Joo said and punched Taehyun in the stomach, he let go of her throat and stepped back. “If you are innocent then simply say so, never put your hands on me like that again!” Yeon Joo said and stormed off.
Taehyun watched her walk away and cursed under his breath, he seemed to annoy her every time they had an encounter and that wasn't what he wanted,but he couldn't help himself something about her sparked a strange set of emotions in him and he couldn't explain it.

Ji Soo sat on her hind legs in front of the shrine dedicated to the king of demons. “My lord, that nephylm will be a hindrance to me unless I can create her talisman to keep her under control” Ji Soo said and bowed her head low.
“Making her talisman will be extremely difficult . She is rare remember, in order to make her talisman the blood of seventy virgins is needed along with some of her own blood” the voice of the king of demons spoke through the goats head. Ji Soo couldn't believe what she'd just heard, seventy virgins! Even if she could successfully find seventy virgins, gathering them all in one place and killing them would be a nearly impossible task and the sudden disappearance of seventy girls would cause a huge stir.
“My lord, there has to be a way to keep her from realising her true potential” Ji Soo said. The demon king laughed low and it sent chills down Ji Soo's spine, even after selling her soul to him and serving him for years the demon king still terrified her. “The forbidden one will do that for us so you don't have to worry at all, he will be her demise”
Yeon Joo had only been able to get a few hours of sleep before she woke up early in the morning. She planned to go to the mountains and retrieve the charm needed to heal Eun Soo. She considered telling the princess but decided not to, she didn't want to get the girls hopes up just in case she was going on a wild goose chase.
On her way out of the palace, Yeon Joo ran into Yong jae. “Your highness”she bowed and waited for his response. “Yeon Joo, how have you been?” he asked. Yeon Joo bowed again and turned to walk away. “Wait a minute”
“I apologise your highness but I have something very important to do right now” Yeon Joo said.
Yong jae stepped in front of her and sighed. Yeon Joo looked into his eyes and shook her head “You should never make promises you're not sure you can keep your highness. Of all things to do, you promise to make me yours and then you make another girl yours. How am I supposed to feel about that your highness?”
“It wasn't my choice to make her my concubine Yeon Joo. My father made Yeona my concubine as a gift for my birthday and he'd put you in Sogyeokseo, there's nothing I could've done” the prince said.
“You could've sent her away, even if there's nothing you could do about me being in Sogyeokseo you could've sent her away from the palace! But she's here now demanding that I bow to her.”. Yeon Joo felt tears pooling in her eyes and frowned, why was she crying? “I have to go your highness I have things to do” she bowed and walked away.
