Hey, Munchkins. This short story/excerpt/chapter thing was originally for a contest I entered. I saw a picture on Instagram from some Disney page and I had an idea to write a story based on that. So, I wasn't going to retell the story of Snow White in modern times, but base my story on the overall idea of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

It is an action/adventure/criminal plotline kind of story. I love action movies and why not create one of my own. As for actually writing a book, maybe I will but in due time. Enjoy!

When fourteen-year-old Sydney was found dead in a cottage Monday morning, the tragedy literally shook the town with shock and havoc. It was something no one was expecting. Something I didn't think it would reach to.

My eyes blink slowly as I stare through the glass. My head shakes as too many thoughts fly around...I'm trying to put all the pieces together...I'm trying to understand. The infamous Sly Seven have made headlines since the early November of 2014.

Seven manipulative, sneaky, and clever men, none older than the age of thirty, robbed more than half the banks in the tri-state area. They've stolen from Politicians, celebrities, Museums, Nuclear bases, government bases, and so on. The men came from different backgrounds, different corners of the earth- I'm not sure how they even came to be a team.

I do know, however, they're the toughest case I've ever had. We've never been able to catch them- they were always one step ahead. They never left a trace; they'd pull off their heists so immaculately, we never had enough on them to track them down. We never even had a grasp on them...until now.

The only thing they have ever left behind was slight evidence of who these seven men were. Someway, the agency was able to track one of their heists back to the woods where the unlucky teenager was found yesterday. It was random almost and unexpected. My eyebrows furrow together.

"What's on your mind, Snow?" My lips twitch at the nickname. Special Agent Skylar "Snow" Walker. The name Snow came from one expedition four years ago. Up in the mountains tracking down an enemy of the state, it was one of my best missions. I was able to track down the fugitive, capture him, shut down a deadly weapon, and bring him in- Only me and my person along with one firearm- all without leaving a trace in the crisp fresh snow up on those mountains.

"I'm trying to process the information, Chief Evans," I answer lowly. "I've only spoken to three of them and I'm not even sure what to make of all of this."

"Well, don't get frustrated, Snow. This is the plan, we just continue to interrogate them until they tell us what we need to find out." My eyes cast upward, silently disagreeing with him. Maybe they would tell us, but I highly doubt it.

The seven men are on the list of the most wanted criminals on the planet; there was no way they are going to spill so easily. "Listen, Snow," I turn to Chief Evans and look up at him. His green eyes were concentrated on me intently. Anxiousness clouds his eyes and I fold my arms in front of me when I also sensed a tiny bit of doubt. "You're one of my best agents and if we can pull out even the slightest information from any of these men, I know you're the one to do it."

"Why me?" I ask faintly.

Evans gives me a deadpanned look, clearly not amused by my sarcasm. "I know you can...that's why I put you on this case." When I look back through the glass of the interrogation room, I can still feel his persistent eyes on me.

Sighing, I don't answer him and turn towards the steel door on my left. Keeping my eyes on the man in the empty room, I listen to my heels click against the floor and the door slamming shut once I enter the small room.
