Background:
Sometime after Overwatch had disbanded Jesse McCree found a teenager digging through an alleyway in Santa Fe, New Mexico. McCree's original plan had been to drop the boy off at a foster home but instead chose to raise him, hoping that he could set the boy on the right path.
Jesse spent a lot of time away, being a vigilante, but he made sure that (Y/n) had a place to sleep and food to eat. Sending (Y/n) to high school he found that he had a knack and enjoyment for engineering, originally planning on doing this after high school. Having found a motorcycle before McCree found him he used his new knowledge to work on fixing the bike up so that he could use it when he got his license.
After he'd restored it he heard about some street races that happened and he decided to test the bike. He won a couple of races but not all the ones he did, the biggest thing coming from that night being that he now had a love for speed. During his graduation, an assailant attempted to kill one or several of his classmates, thankfully (Y/n) managed to stop him.
(Y/n) had a taste for adrenaline that two things had given him, racing and fighting criminals. (Y/n) took his bike and traveled the country, competing in street races and stopping criminals as he went. Having seen his father's weapons he reverse engineered his own Peacekeeper before realizing that the weapon wasn't as useful the further away he got he also engineered a custom bolt-action rifle that resembled older weapons of its kind. His life went on in this way for about a year after his graduation before Overwatch approaches him...
