andrea's pov:

"you need to post another cover of
one of shawn's songs to see if he'll
notice you again." chloe told me as
she fidgeted next to me. i think she
was more excited about shawn
noticing me than i was. i was just
speechless and still trying to
process that the shawn mendes
had commented on one of my
videos and said my voice was
beautiful. i already gained a ton
of subscribers and requests to
post more videos and specifically
more covers of shawn's songs.

"let's get to recording. i want to do
his song 'lights on' and 'mercy'
and then we'll post one today and
one tomorrow or next week."
"we should post a part of it on your
instagram account" chloe suggested
and i thought about it. my instagram
account was private.
"no one would see it if my account is
private."
"then post it on your other account,
you have over 6k followers on your
other account"
"that's my fan page, it shows shawn's
pictures and not any of me. what if
shawn finds my fan page and finds out
it's me?" i bit my lip from nerves and
chloe giggled at me.
"you worry too much chicks. he'll
probably think it's cute and find you
even cuter than he already finds you"
chloe nudged me in the arm and i
rolled my eyes at her. he didn't think
i was cute? he just liked my voice in
the video. didn't he?
"let's get recording." i said and got up
from the couch and walked over to my
microphone and set up the camera.

after a few hours we had finished the
first song which was 'mercy' because
i knew the lyrics a lot better to that
one and the chords. i was now in
the middle of learning the chords to
'lights on' as chloe put the audio
over the video and edited it altogether.
she was the best at all of that stuff. i
didn't have a clue about anything.

we just posted the video for my cover
of 'mercy' and we were eagerly waiting
for the feedback. chloe was restlessly
waiting for shawn to comment but
i didn't get my hopes up because i
was being realistic and knew that he
wouldn't comment again as he already
commented once. it's not like he stalks
my account. he thinks my voice is nice
but that's it. he doesn't like me any other
way. we haven't met yet. i've never had
the money to be able to go to any of his
concerts or meet and greets. as i
finally perfected the chords for 'lights on'
on my guitar, chloe squealed and made
me jump that i almost dropped my
acoustic guitar.
"jeez chlo, don't do that." I told her and
placed my guitar down carefully against
the wall next to my chair.
"andrea, you have to see this." she
yelled excitedly as she clicked something
on her laptop. i walked over and looked
at her screen and covered my mouth
with my hands. i couldn't believe it.
"your voice is unreal" i read shawn's
comment. he commented again?

my video was exploding again with
views, comments, likes just everything
all because of shawn again.
"what the fuck." i whispered and i
was speechless again. i didn't expect
shawn to comment again. what was
going on? i was then getting comments
about why shawn was commenting on
my videos and some people were
suspicious that shawn liked me but i
just laughed at those ones because i
knew that he didn't like me at all.

i clicked on my fan page for shawn on
instagram to see a lot of people on there
posting videos of my cover and asking
who i was and also many people asking
why shawn was commenting and if he
knew me or anything. shawn posted a new
photo on instagram so of course i liked it.
it was a picture of him smiling and it
looked like he was at a hotel. i noticed
the captain was "i want you bad, can you
reciprocate..." and my heart sunk. did
shawn have a girl he liked? or did he
have a girl?

a lot of fans were commenting on his
photo asking the same questions that
i had in my head. a lot of fans were
suspecting that him and hailey were
a thing. others were saying that shawn
had a crush on 'the girl from youtube'
which i think was me. buts that's
stupid because he doesn't. it's probably
hailey that he likes. i didn't like her that
much but if she makes him happy then...

i guess i'd be happy for him...

"what are you so sad about?" chlo
asked as she came out of the
bathroom. i sighed and just grabbed
my guitar again.
"nothing." i responded to her and
started to play the chords to
'treat you better' as chlo went back
to her laptop to check up on my
youtube channel again.
