Jack's pov

"Knock, Knock~" a male's voice sounds from the other side of the door. A grin makes its way onto my face as I instantly recognize who's voice it is. In my peripheral vision, I see Matt's phone move away from his face. He must've recognized it too.
The door opens, a smiling man holding a box in his arms walks in. He was wearing a long sleeve tight black shirt, rolled up just below his elbows. Following that, black skinny jeans and a pair of shiny black combat boots along with black gauges.
And won't I say, he looks mighty fine.
Nate's eyes scan the room, his eyes catching mine, returning a smile.
"I brought you guys some donuts," he says to no one in particular. "I wanted to crash your party but I didn't want to do it empty handed." The man sets the box down into the coffee table in front of us, his attention drawing to Matt as he stands up.
"Hey buddy! Long time no see! How was the Paid in Exposure tour? I listened your album and it's stunning."
I make my way over to the doughnuts as Nate and Matt hug.
"Goddamnit you're so beautiful."
Under my breath, I sweet talk the glazed donuts eyeing me.
I lick my lips, slowly pulling off the lid of the box.
"Oh you're one sexy motherfucker."I mutter, my mouth watering at the pastry in all its glory.
"Thanks, the tour had the fans screeching this time around. The last day is tomorrow here in LA so I'm expecting you all to stop by."
I pull the lid fully off and toss it aside without a care in the world. Picking up the only glazed donut, I quickly take a bite out of it and my eyes roll back. The tenderness is perfect and the coating is a masterpiece.
I hear Nate chuckle from beside me.
"To this day I've never seen someone anywhere close to enjoying a glazed donut as much as you enjoy them," he says with a throaty chuckle. I turn my head to look at him, the donut still in my hand but the bit now swallowed.
"Hey Nate. Thanks for the donuts." I thank while going for a hug. He wraps his arms around me and I wrap one around him, using the other one to take another bite. He chuckles in the hug, probably at the fact that in still eating. The smell of his cologne fills my nose and my face heats, remembering what happened after Lazer tagging.
"You goofball," he says quietly before we pull away. He shakes his head and walks over to the rest of the gang to greet them too. Yes, that means even the cheater in the corner. I walk over to Matt while still stuffing my face.
"Damn." Is all I could say as both of us look towards Nate.
"Yeah, Damn." Matt adds as we check out the eye candy before us.
"Wait aren't you married?" I ask, remembering how he's been with Steph for awhile.
"Um.. yeah. Aren't you with someone?" Matt contradicts. I pause for a couple beats.
"Well, no," I reply, crossing my arms as I continue to check out Nate. "I'm... not."
Matt turns around to probably look at the TV in the corner of the room instead of checking Nate out.
"But what about Mark?" He presses.
I don't know. I'd date both of them honestly.
"Mark is my bodyguard." Is all I say before walking towards Nate and PJ. I catch a bit of their conversation as I walk up, Nate's reply to whatever was said.
"--pid choice, honestly. Because now I might make a move." PJ is the first to notice me, nodding towards me to tell Nate that I walked up. But why?
"Heya watcha talkin about?" I ask, confused on what game PJ and Nate are playing.
Nate turns towards me a smile sparking.
"Nothing Sean." Nate returns, running a hand through his black hair. I roll my eyes.
"Don't call me that Nate, you know what I go by lately." I say, not quite wanting him to call me by my real name. A smirk curls onto his face along with a flirting look.
"Okay," his voice deepens. "My Jack." He adds, crossing my drawn line. My face heats and I shiver, breaking eye contact a beat after he said that. I hit his arm playfully, but the small bit of contact made me avert my sight anywhere but at Nate.
My eyes find their way to PJ who was looking more salty than usual. His eyes narrow and he slips his earbuds into his ears, moving his attention back to his phone. Nate ruffles his hand in my hair like a child, making me heat more as the door opens. Thinking that it was Dani finally back, I turn to unexpectedly see someone else walk in. His eyes lock with mine and reads my face, following with his eyes flicking to Nate. He looks the man up and down, a blank look on his face.
Nate turns to see him too, shortly after he starts smiling and greeting him.
"Hey," Nate greets with a friendly tone. The look in his eyes seem genuine but with something else along with it. "Mark, was it?"
"Yeah. You're Nate right? Nice to see you again." Mark replies, sounding friendly but slightly off.  Mark walks over to the fridge and grabs a bottled water, sitting down on a nearby chair.
"So when did he get in?" Mark asks to no one specifically, just wanting to be answered.
"When that girl was whining for me outside the door and you took her away. Do your job better  you so called "Bodyguard"." PJ spits rudely. Oh wow, he actually did hear her. If he could make himself any worse in my eyes, he sure as hell just did. I send PJ a hard glare peeved off by his rudeness towards someone that he just met. But honestly, why am I so defensive? I wasn't like this for any other bodyguard that I've had so what makes Mark different? Sure, I went to a few places with him and had jokes and all but regardless, that shouldn't matter.  Just another bodyguard that'll probably get fired or mad at me for bringing people into my rooms after a few shows.
"Don't be that way PJ, I barely had a second to slip by and fan's aren't even allowed in this part of the building. She's lucky that she even got down the hall, let alone made it to the door. Cut him some slack, he just got the job," Nate defends Mark, walking towards the front door with light steps. He walks by Mark and they share a smile, Mark turning it into a glare when he passes him. I laugh a little at the man's jealousy towards the idol. Nate reaches the door and turns back to look at the room.
"Well I gotta get going. You guys gotta finish signing things for awhile longer but maybe after if you want to, we can all go out to a bar or something. Just text me. Cya."
And with that, he leaves.
"I really don't like him," I look over to who said that to be faces with PJ starting to get up from the couch.
PJ takes out one of his earbuds, rolling his eyes in annoyance.
"Glad that we can agree on something." Another voice speaks in annoyance. I also roll my eyes, knowing damn well who said it. I don't understand why they have to act like that. Nate didn't do anything wrong, in fact, he is acting the most nice here. He is genuinely kind and interested in what you have to say. And on top of that, he has a sense of style similar to mine and taste of music similar to mine.
"Quit being jealous," I snap at the two but-hurt children.
"Jack's right, stop it. You don't know him well enough to judge. He's a decent person and has a good personality," Felix backs up.
"Oh shut up, you guys just think he's hot. Quit being defensive against us for a snarky asshole. I bet he cheats on everyone that he has a relationship with." PJ growls at Felix, Matt, and I.
Um excuse me?
Laugh hysterically at whatever the hell just came out of his mouth.
"I'm sorry to inform you PJ, but the only cheater here is you. You're not one to talk. I'm pretty sure that I can tell who a snarky asshole is after dating you, so be quiet and quit your crying." I snap because im not taking his shit anymore. If they don't want to hang out with him, that's fine. The least they can do is shut up about it.
Silence consumes the room.
"Ayo so I got paper plates too because we gotta start like right no-" the door swings open and Dani looks around at us, sitting in silence. I hear her pause  but she decides to continue anyway. "...okay... Well we're gonna wrap this signing up. Tomorrow we will be having a meet at the P.S. Recoryd studio about the new album and release date. Starting in two minutes so hurry up."
Listening to Dani, I get up and head towards the door. Remembering the donuts that Nate gave us, I grabbed one, along with a tissue to hold it with, on the way out. I walk and chat with Matt as we walk down the hallway, leaving PJ and Mark behind us.
