Chapter 35 - Together at Last

The photo shoot had been going well. Nakikisama naman ang panahon and the staff was great. Sa katanuyan nasa ika-pitong araw na nila. This was their last day.

This time, they left the capital of Asphodel and went to a distant province called Zephyr. Sabi nila, ito raw ang pinakamalamig na parte sa Asphodel as it was located at the top-most region. Halos malapit na ito sa north pole.

"Break muna!" sigaw ng photographer.

She sat down on the nearest settee.

Everything was perfect for her, even Gareth. Ever since the talk that they had several days ago, he became nice her. He remained true to his word. It was as if he had already completely forgotten of the past.

"You okay?" tanong ni Gareth sa kanya.

"Quite good," she said.

Nag-abot ito sa kanya ng isang mug na hot chocolate. She really appreciated such little gestures from him. Somehow, she found it very sweet of him.

But there a lot of things that he did in the past seven days. Palagi itong sumasama sa mga photo shoots niya. He always said that as the Viceroy, he should oversee anything. And also, ginagamit din nitong dahilan ang pagiging doktor nito, he said that he always needs to be by her side to check her health.

Hindi niya mapigilang mapangiti sa ipinapakita nito.

"Why are you smiling like that?" tanong nito.

Agad na gumapang ang maliliit na boltahe ng kuryente sa kanyang katawan. His mere presence brought strange but beautiful sensations in her body.

"Don't you like my smiles?"

"I love your smiles, sweetheart. It's the sweetest for me. Nahihiwagaan lang ako sa ngiti mo ngayon. What are you thinking?" he said.

"Kapag sinabi ko bang ikaw ang iniisip ko, anong gagawin mo?" she teasingly said to him.

"Quit it, sweetheart. Or else..."

She looked at him. From she stood, her towering height was extremely overwhelming.

He crouched down until they were eye-level.

"Or else, what?" she asked.

Npakaliit lamang ng pagitan nilang dalawa. She could literally inhale his minty breath.

A naughty grin was now pasted on his lips.

"Or else... I'll kiss you in front of them."

She could see in his eyes that he was not kidding at all. He was pretty much serious. Napalunok siya. His teasing made the back of her hair stood. A tingling sensation ran to her every fiber.

"Then, I'll just keep thinking of you then."

She then unintentionally smiled at him.

"Fuck!" he whispered.

It was that she could hear before he conquered her lips.

His kiss was tender but still full of passion. It overwhelmed her. Pulses of sweet sensations were now flowing inside every fiber of her body. It was hot and sweet at the same time. He nibbled her lips before finally letting go.

"Don't you dare me again, sweetheart. You know for sure that I am dead serious."

Her heart was furious beating against her chest. Doon lang niya narealize na naroroon nga pala sila sa set. All of the crew were looking away from them but, the awkwardness was still very evident.

She blushed to the roots of her hair. Nakakahiya. Pinalo niya ito sa braso.

"Hey! What was that for?" hindi pa rin mawala ang pilyong ngiti sa labi nito.
