Its been so long. Just a reflection of years that passed and a glimpse of actions that seemed to come from a different person, but it was her. It is the same girl that looked in the mirror today. With a drastic change in environment, she had no choice but to change. It was never a physical move to another country or school. It was simply the consequences of her naive actions that changed everything. The wave of whispers that hit everyday. The looks of pity that people would give and the scowls of disgust that would sear the sensitive skin that covered her emotions. It just didn't take much. She was a nutshell for most of her life. Her parents struggled with her for so long; but it wasn't until her entire world changed outside of home, that she melted away. She was now a pool of emotions waiting to be unleashed yet she stayed untouched. Her fear of not being understood or being dismissed as complicated held her bound in a cage of her own mind. She could be free, but behind the barriers of her pride. Seconds of tears would turn into minutes of pain. The minutes would turn into hours and before long, it became months. It felt like months. The feeling so intense, that it would slow the ever racing hands of time. So what else? What else was she supposed to do, when her very mind became her prison.
