Chapter 10: The Ceremony

It had been about a week since our meeting with the Alpha and Callum finally told us a couple days ago that our ceremony would be happening this weekend. It was now Saturday and I went downstairs to do my weigh in to determine if mom would let me start eating again.  It has been 6 days since I've last eaten, so I'm very hungry. Mom already had her scale and notepad ready to write down my weight. I stepped on the scale and the scale read 96.2 pounds. I smiled and saw my mom smile too. I knew she would let me eat again.

“Go ahead and get dressed. I'll have your breakfast ready for you down here.” I ran upstairs and threw on some random clothes. I went back downstairs and mom had a plate with cut up apples and peanut butter sitting on the island waiting for me.

“This is all I get?” I questioned looking down at it.  There was only 4 apple slices on the plate.

“Yes, you are starting off small. You're still on punishment. Yes, you get to eat again, but it's on my terms and I say how much you get.” I took small bites out of the apple, dipping it in the peanut butter.  Hope came downstairs and looked at my breakfast with a weird look. “Good morning Hope.” Mom set a plate of eggs, avocados and apples in front of her.

“Good morning.” We finished our breakfast and informed mom that we had a double date tonight. That was the lie that Hope and I came up with, so that mom wouldn't question why we were both so dressed up. My phone started ringing in the middle of us talking and I answered.

“Hey Callie! I was just calling to make sure we were still on tonight.” It was Callum. I smiled.

“Oh, yeah of course! Would it be okay if you picked Hope and I up? Our mom needs the car tonight.” My mom smiled at me knowingly.  I turned around to start heading to my room.

“Umm, I can see if I can. If not, I'm sure Jason would be able to.” Just hearing his name made my heart flutter. Jason and I have been talking a lot lately and we got to know each other better, ever since we mated. He also has been sneaking over so that we can talk more, as well as other things, if you catch my drift.

“Yeah, that should be just fine. Thank you Callum, see you tonight.” I hung up the phone and went to go pick out my outfit for the night. I decided on a knee length maroon colored dress with black high heels.

A few hours later.

I had finished getting dressed and I actually felt okay in it. Hope came into my room wearing a cream colored dress that reaches just below the knee with silver heels.

“Hey, you look great Cal.” I smiled at her.

“So do you Hope.” Suddenly, the doorbell rang. We both headed down the stairs. I opened the door and saw Jason staring at me. I blushed slightly, I noticed Hope looking at us weird.

“I thought Callum was going to get us.” Jason looked over at her.

“He wasn't able to come, he's helping set stuff up, so he sent me.” He smiled at her. For some reason, I felt slightly jealous, but I knew I was just being insecure, since Hope looks gorgeous tonight.

“Oh, okay. Well, let's go, don't want to be late.” Hope pushed past Jason and went outside towards his car.

“You look gorgeous tonight, love.” Jason said. I smiled at him and kissed him on the cheek before we headed to the car. We got in the car and headed towards the pack house.

“So, what's going on with you two? I'm not dumb, I see the way you look at each other.” I looked up at Jason with worried eyes.

“Umm, you see, we were waiting until after the ceremony to tell you but, Callie and I are mates.” I looked at Hope through the rearview mirror and she didn't look very happy.

“Why didn't you tell me?”

“I told her not to tell anyone until you guys were a part of the pack because of our age difference. If the humans found out, I'd probably go to jail since she's still a minor.”

“Well you would only go to jail if you had sex.” Jason and I stayed quite. “Oh my god!”

“I wanted to tell you, Hope, I really did! You know I don't like keeping secrets from you.” I slightly started crying.

“Is he the one that's been sneaking in? You know, I'm not deaf I can hear you guys, I'm in the next room. Anyway, I'm not mad, I understand the reasoning.” We pulled up to the house.

“Yeah, he's been the one sneaking in and sorry about that. Thank you for understanding Hope.” We all got out of the car and I hugged Hope. We walked up to the house, going inside,  it was all decorated and it was beautiful.

“Wow.” Hope said. We were both speechless. The Alpha came up and greeted us.

“We are about ready for you. It's going to be really simple. We are going to bring you guys on stage, take an oath and you'll become a part of the pack. After that, we just party, but we'll get you home by curfew.” We both nodded.

After the ceremony

“So one thing I should tell you since we are all bonded, there's this thing we can do and that's mind link each other. So that means we can talk to each other while in our wolf form.” The Alpha told us.

“Oh, that's pretty cool.” Hope said. I agreed. The Alpha left us and went to talk to other pack members. Hope and I were dancing, when I was pulled away by Jason. He took me to his room and started kissing me.

“You look so damn hot in that dress. I can't wait to take it off of you.” I giggled and continued kissing him. “Is it okay if I mark you?”

“Of course. It's the night of the ceremony and Hope knows.” Jason smiled at me and started kissing my neck. Once he found the spot he wanted to mark, he bit down. It was a lot of pressure and it hurt a lot, I whimper but not to long after that, the whimper turned into moaning. It didn't take long until Jason started ripping off my clothes. We made sweet and passionate love, it was way different from any of the other times, maybe because he marked me. But it was magical.
