5. Awkward

Kendra walked in around 9 pm. Mrs Cullen was awake, waiting for her. As she came in, she tiptoed quietly through the sitting room, hopping that her Mom won't see her.
"Now, can you tell me where you are coming from?" Mrs Cullen asked, not changing her position. Kendra froze. She turned slowly to face her Mom. She smiled fakely.
"Oh. Mom, you are still awake?" She asked smiling, nervous inside. Mrs Cullen stood up and faced her.
"Can you give me a reply, or you want my hand crashing down on your face!!!" Mrs Cullen sounded angry. Kendra thought of a quick lie. "Uhm, Mom, I was at Queen's. I was busy doing my assignment. I was so carried away." She lied, avoiding her Mom's eyes. Her mom always knew when she lied to her. Mrs Cullen chuckled. "You are lying to your Mom right??? Now, go to your room. And this should never repeat itself again, am I understood?" She asked. Kendra nodded and quickly rushed up to her room.

Kendra washed her face in the bathroom. She was still feeling guilty for lying to her Mom. She had actually gone to Amy's, and just so she could have a close contact with her crush, Jake. Kendra had always liked Jake since middle school, and she felt he never noticed. Jake was one of the hot boys in school. He always had girls around him. Kendra always tried to call his attention, but to no avail.

CASSANDRA'S POV
I woke up early to make sure I don't miss William. Chocolates were not something to joke with. I had a quick bath and decided to make my hair before dressing. My hair was really in a state of craziness. I decided to use the bathroom mirror.

WILLIAM'S POV
I arrived Cassandra's house very early. I came because I wanted to say hello to Mrs Cullen. Not really well, I wanted to... I don't even know. I came down from my car and headed into the house. Mrs Cullen saw me from the window. I entered into the house and gave her a hug. It was long that I actually saw her. "Hey Mommy K." I greeted. I called her Mommy K since childhood. "My baby." She returned the hug and pecked me. "Good morning. Cassandra's in her room. Go up." She nudged me. I smiled and walked up nervously. I knocked on the door. No response. I walked into the room. She wasn't there. I sat down on the bed. She was probably out of the room.

CASSANDRA'S POV
I walked out of the bathroom without my towel. Besides, I wasn't expecting visitors. I took about two steps before I realized someone was there. A male. William. He had seen me. NAKED!!!!! I screamed as I ran back to the bathroom. William was probably happy to see me nude. I locked the door behind me and still screamed. I heard my room door open and close. "Sweet heart. What happened?" It was my Mom!!! Shit!! The idiot was still in my room. Dad came in after her. "Mom... Am fine. It was a bug." I lied. She heaved a sigh of relief and I heard the door close. I waited for about a minute before I went out of the bathroom. Nobody. I sighed softly. I was still embarrassed. I wore my undies and dressed quickly.

WILLIAM'S POV
I sat in the sitting room, still shocked at what I saw. I really didn't mean to see her. But I liked what I saw. Not like I'm a bad person. I didn't even know how I'd approach her. This our best friendship was not going to work again. I think I'm falling for my best friend.
