I enter the track and the cool crisp air floods over my body.
getting out of my car I jog over too the track.
I begin lightly jogging, than I begin picking up the pace until I'm fully sprinting. I can feel my calves burning but I don't stop. The pain feels good.
The song that's transferring from my phone too my earphones change and I halt.
"This song, no, wh- why is it on here?" I speak to myself. I feel my heart pounding everywhere and drop to the floor bringing my knees too my face in pure sadness. Tears stream down my face and I begin bawling, bawling until I've cried every last tear. I'm breathing heavy yet gasping for air.
I hear somebody sprinting but slow down coming towards me.
"Autumn" he husks.
"What?" I reply snatching the earphones out of my ears and quickly wiping my tears.
"Don't cry please, its just a silly song. Trust me, this has happened too me too I know."
Jonathan says as he sits in front of me.
"I couldn't stop myself. the tears, they just, came." I whisper.
Jonathan than brought his lips too mine and kissed me passionately like he used to, nobody ever- has kissed me like that except for him.
It sent tingles and shocks through my body and made me feel weak.
I pull away but its clearly too late.
"Autumn!?" A male yells from behind me.
Jake.
I stand up and begin running too him, panting.
"You said you wouldn't leave! But what was that?" he asks quietly.
"He, he kissed me!" I yell.
"And let me guess. You kissed him back!" He saying storming too his car. "No Jake!" I yell pulling his arm.
"I pulled away. Couldn't you see?" I sound so weak but I can't lose this boy.
"Let's just.. Talk about this later." He murmured rushing off too his car.
I reach the track angry and begin too sprint. Doing full laps it feels like my legs are going to give in but I won't let them.
"Autumn!" Jonathan yells.
"Get away from me! See what you did?!" I yell stopping.
"I can't believe you're with him!" He yells.
"You wouldn't understand." I tell him.
"Than explain it too me because you can't tell me you didn't feel something during that kiss!"
"I didn't." I lie.
Hurt shot across his eyes but he changed back to that cocky look he always does.
"I can read you like a book Jon."
"Don't call me that." He replies quickly.
"Why not? Too many memories Jon? I say smirking.
"Stop it! Stop calling me that!" He yells.
"Okay Jon." I say one last time before I start sprinting.
I can hear him catching up too me and I push myself harder until everything burns. We both know how this ends unfortunately.
He comes up behind me, picks me up and carries me over his shoulder as he runs.
"Let me down!!" I screech kicking my legs and punching his back.
"Wow haven't done this in awhile eh?" he says slowing down and carrying me bridal style. He pants and I squirm until I'm out of his grasp.
"Why did you do that?" I ask.
"I guess I just miss holding you." He replies with his hands on his knees panting.
I begin walking too my car as I see Jonathan walking towards the sidewalk. As I pull up beside him I roll down my window.
"Get in!" I yell as he opens the passenger door and gets in.
"You walked here?" I ask.
"Yeah." He replies panting
and that's the last we spoke until I pulled into my drive way.
He set his hand on my thigh and started rubbing circles with his thumb trying to comfort me.
I pulled away and got out of the car.
"Come in. My mom misses you." He said with a puppy dog face.
"Ugh fine! But only for your mom." I reply as my voice cracks on the word mom.
he looks at me and hugs me, rubbing circles on my back. he kisses my cheek and enters the front door.
"Mom! Guess who's here!" He says excitedly.
"Autumn! Honey!" Mrs. Baker yells pulling me into a warm inviting hug.
"sweetie, go take a shower upstairs before Jonathon gets to it." I look confused and so does Jon.
"Oh, sweetie! Your fathers out for a business trip over spring break! So you're staying here!" she smiles.
"But it's fall.." I say.
"Yes of course! But your father doesn't want you at school while he's gone so he told the teachers and you won't have any homework and so its like an early spring break!" She yells.
"What about me?" Jon asks.
"Yes, you too." She answers
"Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay" Jon cheers.
I roll my eyes and walk upstairs too the guest room I always used to sleep in.
Once I enter the room so many memories fill my head and I smile too myself as nothing has changed since the last time I slept over.
