Melody, Amaya, and I were looking around the shops at the arena. Melody convinced our Mom to let us buy decks and duel disks of our own so Melody came with just to supervise. We entered the card shop and saw a lot of structure decks and booster packs. "Alright so we don't miss the duel we meet back here in 30 minutes. Call me if you need help." Melody said and her and Amaya walked off leaving me alone. I browsed some of the structure decks when I bumped into someone when I wasn't looking. "Sorry about that I wasn't watching where I was-" I was cut short and terror filled my eyes as I saw Mephiles stare back at me. He said nothing but he pulled a deck off the shelf and handed it to me. "This looks like it would suit you nicely." He walked out after saying that. I looked down at the deck. It was a Nordic deck. I scanned over it a bit and smiled then went after Mephiles. "Hey mister wait a sec." He stopped looking at me. "You're Mephiles, correct? Why did you pick this deck?" He said nothing and handed me a card. I read the name and my heart stopped. I looked back to him but he had disappeared. I looked back at the card in my hand. I put the card in my pocket and went to pay for my deck I saw Melody and Amaya paying too. Melody had bought us both duel disks. On our way out of the shop I pondered telling them what I was given by Mephiles but I thought better not to. "What kind of deck did you decide on, Mika?" I looked at my sister and smiled. "I got a Nordic deck. What about you, Amaya?" She smiled then looked all determined. "I got a hero deck!" Melody chuckled at her enthusiasm. "Alright we should hurry to the arena Dimitri and Infinite duel in 10 minutes." Amaya and I both nodded. I was hoping Dimitri won there's no telling what someone like Infinite will do. I decided I was going to tell Melody what I was given. "Hey Amaya hurry into the arena. I need to talk with Melody alone quick." Amaya looked at me confused then shrugged heading into the stands to her seat. "What's up, Mika?" Melody asked me with much curiosity in her voice. "I need you to give something to Dimitri for me. You have to hurry no questions just hurry and take this to him." I handed her Obelisk the Tormentor and her eyes widened. "I will explain how I got it later for now you have to get this to Dimitri." Melody nodded and electrified her skate shoes and zoomed toward Dimitri's prep room. "I'm counting on you Melody." I entered the stands and went to my seat next to Amaya and Mom.
Melody entered my prep room out of breath. She held a card up to me. I couldn't believe my eyes as I saw Obelisk the Tormentor in her hand. The god card Mephiles had in his deck. She handed it to me and told me Mika gave her it. I don't know how Mika got her hands on it but it's good to know she was looking out for me by making sure I had it. The buzzer went off meaning it was time to go duel. I shuffled Obelisk into my deck and walked out to the arena. I looked at infinite across the field. Then looked to the stands and saw Mika. I have no clue how she got it but now I have 2 god cards thanks to her. Infinite's mask started to glow. "It's time, Obsidius. Duel me as you and not the boy." I breathed in and I felt the change. My body turned to rock and it was his control now.
"Finally. Let's duel." We both drew our 5 cards. We flip a coin and he goes first. "Let's start with a bang. I send my Red Eyes Black Chick to the graveyard to summon in Red Eyes Black Dragon from my hand in attack position ending my turn." I drew a card and smirked. "Alright then I play Masked Dragon in attack position but thats not all I play my spell card Dragon's Gunfire to inflict 800 damage to your life points. Thus ending my turn." It was hard to see his expression under his mask but he seemed unphased as he drew a card. "I play Axe Dragonute in attack position. I use him to destroy your Masked Dragon and then attack your life points directly for 2400 points. I growled and drew a card. I smirk as I lay down a trap card and summon my Mist Valley Falcon in attack position. "I end my turn." Infinite glared at me as he drew a card. "I play Eclipse Wyvern in attack position and attack your Falcon with my Red Eyes!" I smirk and flip my trap card. "Mirror Force, fucker." I laugh as all his monsters are destroyed and he sits defenseless being forced to end his turn. "I play Spear Dragon in attack position and use my monsters to attack you directly. Leaving you at 3300 life points. Thus ending my turn." Infinite growled as he drew his next card. "I place one card face down in defense position and end my turn." He said and I drew a card. "I tribute Spear Dragon for Dragunity Primus Pilus in attack position and use my Falcon to attack your face down monster. Then freeing you up to be attacked head on by Primus for 2200 of your life points leaving your total at 1100 well I'm still holding strong at 5600 life points and ending my turn!" I could sense the jackals rage from across the arena. "I won't let you win! I will beat you and leave here to take over the world and all the powerful users in it! No one will stop me! Not even you kid! I draw!" He laughed chaotically as he looked at his hand. "Time to lose it all, Obsidius! I summon Lord of D. to the field! Then use my spell card The Flute of Summoning Dragon to summon from my hand Blue Eyes White Dragon! Then use my other spell card in my hand Burst Stream of Destruction to destroy all your monsters on the field! Now to top it off as insult to injury, Lord of D. attack his life points for 1200! Leaving you at 4400 life points as I end my turn! You lose kid!" I growled to myself. He was right unless I struck a dumb bit of luck on my next draw he would win. I shakily reached for my deck and it began to glow. I pulled Ra. "This duel isn't over till it's over Infinite! I use 3100 of my life points to summon The Winged Dragon of Ra to the field. Meaning I'm left with 1300 life points but it also means Ra into 100 attack points stronger than your Blue Eyes so it gets destroyed!" I smiled as I saw him begin to tremble. He drew his next card. He placed a card in face down defense position and ended his turn. I smiled as I picked up my Icarus Attack trap card. "Time we end this, Zero. Yes I remember your name. I play my winged beast Hunter Owl in attack position to activate my trap card Icarus Attack! This trap allows me to tribute my Owl to destroy to cards on your side of the field. Seeing as you only have two they will go to the graveyard. Now Winged Dragon of Ra destroy his remaining life points!" The buzzer sounded and the crowd went crazy. I gave Dimitri back his control.
"Your winner! Dimitri Gears!" I looked around at the cheering as the announcement said I won. I looked at Mika and smiled then I looked at infinite who's mask came off. "You... You will regret this!!" He looked to the stands and saw Mika's mom, Mitsuki. He smiled as he picked his pray he grabbed his mask and I went to grab him but I was too late as he teleported to her grabbing her by the throat. "I'll take you as my bait!" Mitsuki choked and before anyone could make a move he was gone and so was she.
