POV: Harry Potter
I sighed as Ron started to whine about me not wanting to play chess with him again as I try to read my book in peace. We were in the common room with Hermione off to the side finishing an assignment that she hadn't finished yet.

"Come on Harry, stop being such a bookworm and come play with me!" Ron whined again, he was starting to sound more like a whiney brat that had his favorite toy taken away by the second and it was ticking me off. I sighed once again and slammed my book closed. Ignoring Ron in favor of wrapping my scarf around my neck."Where are you going?" Hermione asked as she looked up from the parchment.

"Outside, where I can read in peace." I answered her"But Harry–" Ron started again."Just let him read in peace for once Ronald!" Hermione snapped. The last thing I saw was Ron huffing and Hermione waving at me before I walked through the portrait hole.

I shivered as I felt the cold air outside. The Black Lake was a great place to find peace in the winter, as long as you have warm clothes on to battle off the cold.

This year had been getting more and more stressful with Umbridge and her detentions, the press, Ron, and a whole bunch of other things that I don't feel the need to mention. I sat down under a tree that was near the lake a took out my book. The peaceful silence was a nice thing to have for once.

Suddenly a sweet scent wafted through the air. I looked up from my book to the area around me, 'Is that treacle tart?'. Why in the bloody mazes is there treacle tart outside near the Black Lake, even more importantly who in their right mind would bring it out here?! Getting up I noticed a little farther down the lake was where the smell was coming from.

As I walked over, there, right in front of me, was a freshly baked treacle tart. I suddenly had this overwhelming feeling of hunger. I wanted to eat it, I had to eat it, I needed to eat it.

'Whoa, hold up! What in the name of Merlin am I thinking?!'

I tried to fight the feeling but the thought of eating my favorite sugary sweet combined with the strange hungry pull overwhelmed my thoughts of common sense by a landslide.
