"When life is beautiful, baby you destroy it all." -Ferras (King of Sabotage).

Izzabella.

I was thankful when I could finally pack up my books in last period.

Hastily, I made my way to my locker. I still had to pick up Josh from school and I was running a bit behind schedule considering I was without a car.

I was just shutting my locker when Tammy caught my sight. She seemed to be flirting up a storm and her victim was none other than Alex Klonday- the last person I wanted to talk too.

He was laughing at something she was saying and he scooted closer to her.

"Hey." Somebody exclaimed from behind me.

I turned and Di greeted me with a warm smile.

"Didn't think I would run into you." She adjusted her bag on her shoulder.

"You almost missed me." I grinned.

She laughed and then observed the situation in front of me.

"Uh I hate her." She turned her facial expression into one of disgust. I chuckled and nodded my head.

"So what are you doing later?" She asked as we walked out of the school together.

I sighed. "Nothing fun. I have to go pick up my brother."

She nodded. "And after that?"

I shrugged a small smile making its way onto my face. "I'm free."

She cheered and clasped her hands together joyfully.  "Perfect. Now let's go pick up that brother of yours."

-

We pulled up to Kirkness School, the only junior high in town.

Di and I stepped out of the car and made our way through the crowds of kids chatting with their friends. I scanned the yard for my brother, before I found him surrounded by a group boys.

They looked a year or two older than Josh and curiously I crept, remaining unseen and listened to the conversation.

"Your lucky I don't beat you up right here." One boy sneered. He was wearing a black hoodie that seemed to swallow him up.

"Yeah."  One other boy agreed. "Stop running your mouth dumbass."

The one in the black sweater pushed Josh too the ground, before they all scattered away.

I quickly rushed to his aid and helped him to his feet.

"Josh! Are you alright?" I asked, inspecting him for any viable damage.

"Can we just go."

"Don't you want to tell the teacher? Go after them? Do something!"

He shook me off and glared at me. " Let's go."

Reluctantly I nodded my head and shot a glance at Di. Her worried expression most likely mirrored my own.

Josh trailed behind me and once we got to the car, he got in the back and slammed the door shut.

It was a silent drive home, besides from when I gave Di our address.

When she pulled into our driveway, Josh got out and slammed up the steps, unlocked the door and stormed inside, slamming the door behind him.

"Did you know about that?" Di asked. She turned in her seat to face me.

I shook my head. " No, I always thought he had loads of friends."
