Sue's POV

I was in the North — a place for all low and middle people. Where inequality and brutality happens. This wasn't my place at all. If North was the place for all sadness and cruelness then South must be the place wherein gold and power rains. I neither belong at the two.

What's in East and West?

That's another thing I should find out.

As I walk to the crowded town, people would take glances at me with respect. They might think that I'm a middle class but I'm not. I'm neither of the three. I didn't mind the stares that I was getting but instead I focused on finding the guy who gave me this ring. But how am I going to find him when I don't even know his name? I can only remember some of his physical appearance.

He simply had brown pools and brown hair. He was a very tall guy. He had small hands too which I noticed when he took my arm at our first encounter. That was the only thing I remembered about him since I studies his features. Ohh and he had a deep ass voice too. I think I was mistaken for thinking that he was a low class. He wore clean white clothes back then.

But how on earth am I going to find him when I've been gone for 4 years!?

He might think that I'm dead now.

I shouldn't put my hopes too low! I'm gonna find him. Let's go to the place where I first saw him. He must be there. My fleet took me to the store of a poor family. They were selling fruits and vegetables for a living. I saw a woman arounf her 40's or 50's coming out from the store. She was bringing a basket of vegetables on her shoulders that looked heavy. I followed the old lady and held her free shoulder which made her stop from her tracks.

"Do you need anything young lady?" The old woman kindly asked.

"I see that you are having a hard time with what you are bringing Ma'am. You shouldn't be carrying heavy objects at your age, let me carry that for you instead Ma'am." I took the basket off her shoulders and carried it.

"Ohh how kind of you young lady! Thank you!" I saw real happiness at the old woman's eyes which made my heart melt. Only a few can appreciate little things.

"Where to Ma'am?" I smiled back.

"Straight ahead. We're going to take this to the Myerscough's carriage. They bought a lot of fruits from us and offered us a huge price and they even gave me one invitation for their ball tonight."

"A ball?" I asked with concern while focusing on our tracks.

"Yes. The Myerscough is one of the most powerful and kindest family at the South. Their only son Brian Myerscough is having his 23rd birthday tonight. They're having a masquerade ball and invited all the noble men of the South so it is a really great opportunity of being invited by them." She said.

"So what makes it so special to get invited to a grand ball?" I asked out of the blue expecting a long answer.

"Is that even a question? Every men and women here at the North always dreamt of dancing at a grand ball. Wearing the biggest elegant gowns, the most expensive suits, and the best-made masks in town among with all the richest family of the four stars. Your name will be well known if get invited to those kinds of parties. Ahhh I remember the old days." The old woman smiled when she remembered something.
