I was falling, I could feel it in the pit of my stomach. I tried to scream, but my vocal chords were incapacitated. I opened my eyes, but the light was severely bright, forcing me to close them once again. I lost all sense of direction; I had no idea which way was up and which was down. The wind whipped my hair as I began to fall faster and faster. A deep pain welled up in between my shoulders and moved slowly to my lower back, increasing in intensity along the way. I let out a high-pitched scream, but no one could hear me. I could feel the pain throughout my entire body now. The ground, and my demise, grew closer and closer. Nothing could save me, this was my fate.

I was in the middle of a small clearing surrounded by dense forest. It was the middle of the night and pitch black besides the stars hanging in the sky. Animals moved in the dense undergrowth, cracking twigs and branches along the way. Every sound, no matter how insignificant, seemed to be threatening – it was like being caught in a horror movie. The fact that I could almost feel someone watching me didn’t help. What was I doing here? I looked to the star-studded sky, hoping for some sort of sign or direction. Then I saw it, something small and bright shooting across the sky. A shooting star! There was something off about it though, the star was actually growing in size. As it grew, it became more discernable and I quickly realized it was a person.  She was glowing so brightly and falling so fast... Falling! How could I save her? She was getting closer. I tried to move to where she would land, but an intense pain began in between my shoulder blades and moved slowly throughout the rest of my body. I crumbled to my knees. Nothing could save her, this was her fate.
