SEASONS

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A new dawn breaks, a brand new year

The sun scorching, yet sincere

A summertime lullaby, wandering gently on the breeze

Sweet and seducing, it’s an annual souvenir

Each sunrise brings with it, a different phase of grief

As the air turns over a brand new leaf

With a flutter they fall, in their masses they gather

These leaves are stolen by a different kind of thief

Brand new is the day, when we snuggle by the fire at night

When breaths of air are blanketed in white

And the trees are bare, creatures of hibernation

When the sun is hidden out of mind, out of sight

The air grows warmer and life turns the pages

Like the metamorphosis of a butterfly, everything changes

We welcome brand new life, and new things we cherish

Finally observing the last of the sky’s phases

Another year, another day

The passing seasons complete

Blink twice and you’ll miss the opportunity

Oh, the wonders you can meet

just a little poem I had to write as a class project, hope you like it :)
