"So how are you feeling?" Nina asked patting me on the head.
I sighed, "I don't know. How exactly are you supposed to feel when your doctor says, your baby could come any time now."
Nina shrugged rubbing my belly. I looked at her and started to bite my nails. "Nina I don't know if I'm ready. How can I do this without Calum?"
My eyes started to water. God stupid pregnancy hormones. Nina noticed and wiped my tears delicately with her fingers.
"Sis think about it you've got me, Joy and Mali. We're gonna help you."
I looked at her, "But what about my mom?"
She looked down. A month ago I finally told my mom about my, situation. She called me a "stupid whore," and every name under the sun, you could possibly think of. She was disappointed and asked me,
"What would your father think, if he was still here?"
I cried for a long time. She was right. What would my dad think? I'd be disappointed if I was him. I don't know it's just too much for me to think about.
Snapping back to reality, tears were running down my face as Nina tried to frequently wipe them.
"Babe it'll be okay. I promise. Calum said he'll be able to call you today."
I smirked, "Oh really will you be listening in officer?" I joked playfully pushing her shoulder.
"No I've actually got business to attend." She said standing up wiping her hands on her jeans.
"Business huh? Sounds secretive. Why don't you let me in on it?"
Shaking her head, she started to grab her purse and car keys, "Sorry can't do that."
My mouth dropped open, "Nina come on! Really? I keep secrets!" I whined.
"No Di I can't."
Before I can even protest she was out the door. I groaned crossing my arms against my chest, looking down at my large belly.
"You'll tell me secrets right?" I said whispering to my unborn child.
I rolled my eyes, chuckling to myself, "I'm acting like she can hear me. Stupid."
Yes I still believe it's a girl.
Hours past and before I knew it, it was 5:20pm. I thought Calum's never gonna call and Nina's never gonna come home. What kind of "business" did she have to attend?
Maybe she found a man? I thought. A fuck buddy? If she did I'd be seriously proud of her. She needs a little dick in her life.
All of a sudden my phone began to ring from the kitchen, "Crappp," I groaned knowing I'd have to get up.
I got up and wobbled into the kitchen picking up my phone from the counter and immediately recognizing the jail number, I answered.
"Hello."
"Uh yes is this Mrs. Hood?" Calum's attempt at another's person voice came through the phone. I couldn't help but laugh.
