All things considered, this boy wasn't the easiest kid. He would constantly sneak out and never be easily brought down. Out at nighttime with a girl that lived in a closed neighborhood.
Next time he had even seen the girl was at a school.. With a blood sucker.
He cringed shaking his head when his teacher called him.
"Nicholas! Please participate." He tapped his pencil onto the clipboard and Nick nodded, barely awake. He couldn't get that girl out of his head. Annalise.
He remembered the name loosely, but there nonetheless. Nick remembered letting the name escape from his lips during the night, when he was alone.
He sighed, squeezing and opening his eyes to attempt to wake himself up. A girl near him with patchy purple hair raised an eyebrow.
"Nick, you look like shit." she spoke, her tone raspy and deep. The boy ignored her as he rubbed his face standing when the bell rang out in a ear breaking tone.
He quickly got out of the class, but his collar was yanked back by the shorter girl.
"What's on your mind Nicky?" she asked, now walking side by side with him. He adjusted his backpack and rolled his neck around, feeling the pops escape from the bones.
Christine cringed, an eyebrow cocking up as she smiled a bit.
"Nothing. Trust me-" He mumbled, his palm moving to scratch his chin, that was lightly lined with stubble.
Damn, he really should be caring more about what he looks like, shouldn't he? Nick swallowed, looking down at his friend.
"It's her isn't it." she smiled and Nick shook his head.
"Nonono-" He groaned and Christine laughed, rolling her eyes as she slapped his back.
"Fine. Whatever, I have chem. You sir, need to go seduce your laddyy!" she grabbed his shirt and shook him around. He slapped her hands away before continuing to walk down to the crowded hallway. He kept his eyes set on the floor and he yawned, his eyes squinting. Tears shelled over his eyes as he walked, using his hands to push open the door.
He shook his head with a light smile at what Christine talked about. They were great friends, and never really changed overtime.
