Chapter 5

~One year later~

Phillis and Philip were walking down the street, the sun setting infront of them. They just came from France's bakery/cafe shop, and now they're heading home. On their way home, Phillis can't stop talking about how wonderful France's place is.

Phillis: "Kuya may nakakita ako ng mahaba na tinapay diyan kanina sa shop nina Tita France"

Philip: "Sure ka ba Phillis-"

Phillis: "Lagi Kuya, parang ganito siguro ka haba"

Phillis stretched her arms wide to show how long the bread was. Philip just laughed at his sister being so hype and being such a huge talker. After a few seconds, Philip's phone rang from his pocket.

Phillis: "Sino ba yan Kuya?"

Philip shrugged his shoulders and picked up his phone. When he saw who's calling him, he let out an angry expression.

Philip: "Sa lahat ng bansa sa buong mundo, bakit talaga si Spain!!"

He yelled out loud, and rejected the call before putting his phone back inside his pocket. Philip walked a bit faster and left Phillis behind. Phillis questioned her brother to why he didn't answered the call.

Philip: "Ayaw ko lang siyang kausapin okay..."

Phillis stopped her brother with her arms extended, Philip looked at her still with the same expression. She kept blabbering about the call. She really tried to say that it might be important or maybe someone borrowed Spain's phone, and etc.

Philip: "Phillis, pwede wag kang alala. Walang importanteng sabihin si Spain..."

Phillis: "Oh!? So ano ang na isip mo?"

Philip: "Gusto lang niya magsabi ng 'sorry' at patawarin ko na siya. Tsk, hindi naman ako ganyan ka dali magbigay tawad"

After what Philip just said, he just let out a sigh and continued walking. Phillis looks at her brother, with an annoyed frown on her face.

"Paano mong patawarin si Kuya Spain kung ayaw mo siyang usapin, at hindi ka maniwala na nagbago talaga siya...Hay nako Kuya" Phillis said in her mind. Philip called her name and she skipped to her brother. She can't help but feel like something or someone is watching them, but she just shrug it off. Maybe it's just the wind.

~time skip~

The two siblings hadn't talk for minutes, until Phillis started to talk.

Phillis: "Look, Kuya I know that you still treat him as an enemy but he really changed..Alam ko na galit na galit ka talaga sa kanya, pero pwede naman mag move-on?"

Philip stopped, looking down at the grey sidewalk. Phillis tilted her head waiting for her brother's respond, but what she didn't know is that beads of tears are starting to fall in Philip's eyes. Then Philip replied.

Philip: "Hindi ako katulad sayo, Phillis. Na madaling mag move-on sa mga ganyang bagay. Sa lahat ng yari nuong panahon, Tayo at ating mga magulang...Hindi ko kayang bitawan ng lahat"

Philip's eyes are overflowing with tears, as he cries, he remembered all those awful memories. Including the death of their parents, Katipunan and Perlas. Before Philip could speak, he felt two warm arms embracing him. It was Phillis hugging him. She thought that this might make him feel better and it did a bit.

Phillis: "Okay lang Kuya..pasensya na po, hindi ko gustong makita kang umiyak. Andito naman ako..."

Philip smiled, feeling a bit better. But his smile faded when he heard an evilish laugh. He told his sister to stay behind him, getting into a protective position.

Philip: "Hey!! I Know You're Out There. Show Yourself To Us Or I'll Use Force!!!"

???: "Woah..calm down Philip, that's not how you greet an old friend hehe..."

The person walked out of the shadows, and revealed himself to the two siblings.

???: "It's been so long since I saw you guys..."

Philip and Phillis' eyes widen, to see this guy again. Philip was shocked but also felt angry, while Phillis was trembling in fear.

Philip: "ISIS..."
