I Know I'm Not Perfect (Jai Brooks Love Story)

Kylie's P.O.V

I just couldn't take it anymore, the bullying, hatred, abuse and of course my parents. If I pulled the trigger before Jai stopped me, I'd be where I feel loved instead of having a black eye, broken bones or the smell of burnt skin lingering in the air. Jai, Jai Brooks is the only friend I have, He's special, kind, handsome and always puts a smile on my face. He's perfect in every single way, he might be popular but that dosn't stop our friendship, I remember my first day, he came up to me and said                        "Hi, I'm Jai, I heard your from New Zealand, hope you like it here in Melbourne and I think we might be good friends soon" I blushed and replyed "Um Hey Jai, yeah, thanks and I hope we might be too" And from that day on, we were. Today was my 17th birthday, 2 years of being in Melbourne and literally dieing for food and water. My parents rarely feed me as they spend money on smokes and beer. My last birthday ended me up in hospital, Jai was there for me and my parents were sent to a rehab facility, saying it was my fault we never had any food.

                                      "You fucking whore, we're staving, you could of at least bought food"

"I fucking couldn't, I can't work so I don't have any money, If you and Dad saved, we wouldn't have this argument, you annoying cow"

That's when my mother, my very own mother heated the stove top and grabbed my wrist and slammed it on top making me scream and cry with pain. After I was dealt with, I took a look at my burnt flesh, I felt like running away from everything, the pain, the torture but I knew I couldn't leave with out Jai, He'd been through this before, I needed him more than ever.

                                                             *FLASHBACK*

               Jai- "Kylie, You make every day worth while please don't leave me, I can't live without you, there's no Us without U. Your beautiful in every single way Ky , I Love You Kylie-May Murphy, til death do us part. Swear we won't leave without eachother?"

As soon as I hit the call button on Jai's number, I knew today was the day, I was running away with the boy I have always loved from day 1.

          "Hello?"                                    

           "Jai, Its Kylie, I can't take it anymore,  I need to leave..........with you Jai"

     "Ky , Are you sure? I'm packing straight away, I'll make you happy again , I promise"

    "I am. Thank you. Don't worry, hearing your voice makes me the happiest girl on earth, I'll see you in 5, ok babe? I love you so much"

   "Ok. Awh sweetheart, I'll be there as quick as lightning, I love you more, I'll see you in a bit, Love you.

I packed everything I owned into a dirty old suitcase, which I didn't mind as I already looked like a hobo. I tried my very best to sneak downstairs without my disgusting parents noticing, until my ugly, fat rather fucked up looking father comes around the corner saying

"Oi, where the fuck are you going, lil miss fugly? Huh? Better not be running off like yah did when yous were 8 aye? If you do, there's gonna be a painful punishment waiting for you in the basement" He said this with a gesturing hand signal which meant if you're going somewhere, I'm gonna knock you out cold and leave your rotting body in the dumpster.

"Didn't  Mum tell  you, I was staying at Jai's? Why would I run off Dad? Anyways I'll be late to get to the bus, see yah"  I was pretty fucking lucky to get the hell outta there without my stupid Dad dragging me by the coller of my shirt, practically choking me to death on the way down. Anyways, I saw Jai's car coming towards me, I couldn't believe I was hopefully gonna re-start my life with my best friend, I knew he isn't judgemental so he won't say anything about how I look, that, I was glad of.

     "Jai, Do you know where we should go, you know like far away from here?" 

"To be honest Ky, I don't know anymore, this,  running away. I'm scared of leaving my foster care parents, they've been great since the start, I guess, well hope they don't mind, I don't want them to get hurt." I could see tears springing into his creamy brown eyes.

"I''m so sorry Jaison , I shouldn't of brought you into this, I can walk to the bus, don't worry babe. It's me that wants to go not you, I should of left without telling you, I don't know, I'm sorry JJ."   I then opened the car door to get out and walk when Jai's hand grabbed mine.

"Jaison huh? havn't heard that for years ha. Kylie, it's not your fault, calm down. Remember what we swore on, that we would never leave without eachother? Well I'm not staying in Melbourne if you leave, I'd probably be in hell for being not a good best friend. Ky I love you and I'm not leaving until you get back into this car and kiss me!" 

"Yes Jaison, I remember. Don't kill yourself, fine. Kiss you, are you sure?"

"Me sure? I've wanted to kiss you since we met, your gorgeous, who wouldn't?"

"I love you so much Jai!" And thats when our lips touched when suddenly my messy bun got caught  on something, I screamed with pain as it felt like my hair was going to rip off straight off my head, I heard Jai yell "LEAVE HER ALONE, FUCK OFF, SHE'S MINE NOW, SHE HATES YOU" Suddenly it turned black, I had this feeling before, I was either passed out or death was awaiting me.
