The sun’s rays gently kissed Lucy’s skin as the horizon gave way to its blissful awakening. The humiliation from last night's brawl with their idiotic captain was deeply carved on her soul. As this certain newly-recruited blonde crew remembered yesterday’s treacherous events, her irritation sprung into life, clenching her fists tight and gritted her teeth in the process.

-------

The moon shone its cryptic radiance upon two figures, enthusiastically sparring their hearts out amidst the humongous timber pirate ship. Everybody joyfully partied inside the deck, leaving some members outside and watch the fateful battle between the blonde crew and the pink-haired captain fighting their wits out in the training.

“Is that the best you can do? You wouldn’t even survive if we meet some puny group of pirates in that level of skill.” The pink-haired tauntingly told the girl, his face stern and harsh as he criticized the poor swordsmanship of the girl. The girl gritted her teeth upon hearing these insults and let out a battle cry once more as she faced the man head on. The man simply took a side step, having all the force of the girl inflicted upon herself as she went straight ahead to the mast of the ship. The man simply chuckled upon the sight, silently shaking his head in disappointment for his apprentice.

The blonde-haired girl held her forehead, tears threatening to flow down from her eyes. ‘No Lucy! Don’t cry! Beat this shithead up!’ She thought. Looking back towards the man, now having a bored look on his face, clearly underestimating her skills, she charged towards him again. The man glanced towards her and suddenly had a dissatisfied look on his face as their swords meet.

“You’re clearly not listening to me, Lucy.” The man flatly said, enraging the girl more. “Hold the hilt of the sword properly. Your stance, your posture, everything’s wrong! You’ll immediately die in a pirate battle, did you know that? Your enemies won’t have any mercy, regardless of your gender or strength. They would immediately slit your neck and head on towards the next enemy they could see, and you’re just there, lying lifeless on the ground.” He told her, letting her remember that this was the life of the pirate—the life she chose. Now she should even show at least some combat skill enough to convince him that she’s fit to be one of his crew. “This is a battle where the weak never survive.” He said as he firmly swung his sword, letting the sword of the girl fly three feet away from her. The boy simply looked at her with those cruel eyes, clearly underestimating her and her resolve to stay being a pirate.

“Without any weapon, you’re utmost death is guaranteed.” He coldly said towards her as he pointed the sword towards her neck. She simply froze upon the realization that he just beat the crap out of her effortlessly. This ignited a feeling of miserable defeat and humiliation upon the girl. She glared towards the boy, making the boy flinch in surprise. “I KNOW. That’s why we’re having this stupid sparring, RIGHT?” She said, clearly annoyed with him, getting all cocky. With her hands clenched hard, she swiftly moved away from the pointed blade and made her fist kiss the boy’s precious face. She walked away, never bothered to look towards the boy lying unconsciously on the cold, timber floor of the ship.
