Wrong Number

Overwhelmed

Beep beep , Hanna's phone buzzed as her alarm went off . She woke and got ready for another day of university, Hanna hated everyone at her school except for her best friend Samantha . Her and Samantha had been friends since they were just kids and have been threw so much together . Hanna was looking for a job but couldn't find one . Since it was almost the end of university so many students would be looking for a job that's why it was so hard to find an open position anywhere . She finally found an open spot at a company that helps people with problems . On her first day of work she walked in and everyone welcomed her then she turned and saw the lady that gave her the job . As Hanna walk over she saw that there was one guy sitting in the corner glaring at her, she felt like there was something wrong with her . Maybe there was food in her teeth or she had a hole in her pants , she didn't know but kept walking and waving to everyone anyways . Lauren Hanna's new boss talked her threw what she was going to be doing exactly . As Lauren explained she got into some deeper detail and some things that Hanna didn't really understand but went along with it anyways . One of the things that Lauren said to her was "if you ever get a phone call where there is a man who has a little bit of a raspy voice I want you to tell me right away" which creeped her out a little bit because she was being so specific . Hanna ignored it until Lauren brought up something even weirder , Lauren said " if anyone ever calls you and you pick up but all you hear is a lady screaming I need you to tell me right away ". That is where Hanna got scared . She then asked Lauren about the guy who sits in the corner and Lauren brought up his past with new people and that there was an accident with one of the new workers . Hanna asked for more detail and what she was told was not very pleasant " well if you must know Lauren explained , he got very upset with one of the new workers because apparently they ignored him and wouldn't answer the phone " . No one knew what he meant by ignore him and not pick up phone. Lauren told her she was okay and there was nothing to be afraid of . Lauren sat her down at her desk and then told her she could begin , all Hanna had to do was pick up the phone and talk to people that had problems so that they didn't do anything reckless . Since Hanna was very good at giving people advice she knew this job was perfect for her . At lunch break all the workers sat together including Hanna , but the guy who sat in the corner alone also sat alone at lunch . Hanna decided to invite him over to the table but he just ignored her friendly offer , she then offered again and that is when he stood up rapidly and stomped away in a sense of anger. Then Hanna just felt sorry for making him mad or uncomfortable so the next day she brought him a sorry card and a little gift , it was just a small little bottle of hand sanitizer as she had picked up on the fact that he put hand sanitizer on every 5 minutes . He accepted the gift but then after reading the card immediately threw it in the garbage. She felt a little sad but knew that he wasn't a people person so she didn't take it personally . The next day the guy who sat in the corner walked over to Hanna and told her than he didn't mean to be rude and that his name is Connor , he told her that they can be friends he just needs personnel space. She told him she was glad that they could be friends and that if he ever needs personnel space he can just say so and she will understand. A couple months passed and Hanna was moved to the desk besides Conner's . They started eating lunch together and having coffee , no one else in the office really talked to Hanna anymore because she was hanging out with Conner. One day when they were getting coffee Conner told her one of his deepest secrets " they all tell you that I'm crazy or that I have problems but I don't , that day when I came into work yelling at my co worker, it was because of something very important not just some stupid reason like an argument over food . It was because I needed her! " Aw Conner it's okay I know love life can be hard sometimes but you can let go now it's okay, I here for you. " Hanna explained " NO it's not like that , I NEEDED her !"  "What do you mean?" Conner kept going " I mean ... well .. Hanna you can't tell anyone okay?" " okay" " I am a killer , I have killed people and she was my next target but she found out who I actually was and was going to tell the police , she was going to EXPOSE me , do you understand how I felt ?" " NO ! how could I , you're a killer !" "Please Hanna you have to help me stop" "How on earth do I do that I can barely even stand next to you now !"  " Please Hanna , meat me at my house tomorrow after work and we can talk ." "Okay"
