Hello loves!
Happy reading! :)

GAIA

GATHERING my dirty laundry and tossing it into the hamper I look around making sure I wasn't forgetting anything. Once I was in the clear I exit my apartment and stride towards the rooftop. My apartment was on the last floor, and I couldn't be more thankful that I didn't have to walk such vicious stairs like most people that live down stairs.

Today was a hot day, hotter then usual and the sweat forming on my skin was almost instant. Humidity was at is finest making my thin tank top cling onto my skin like a second glove and I hated it, but it's the only thing I had clean and that isn't long sleeve. I knew California was hot, I just didn't know by how much.

     Three weeks.

It's been three whole weeks since I first moved here and still I couldn't get into the idea of living in this hell.

Reaching to the rooftop door, I lift my hamper slightly higher and set it against the wall with my waist keeping it uphold before turning the door knob and shifting the door wide open. Almost to quickly I grab my heavy hamper and stride outside where the sun shone harshly against my face, making my step falter and un-consciously dropping half my laundry on to the dirty floor as I shield my eyes with my right hand.

"Fuck," I mutter as I blink once and then twice adjusting my eyesight to the light. "God I hate this place." I groan picking up my clothes.

A deep chuckle is heard from the distance as I froze. I look up from my dirty clothes and into the deepest forest green eyes. I gasped. A young man around my age, laughing at my despair I almost wanted the ground to swallow me whole.

He drops the last bit of his cigarette on the ground before stepping on it diminishing the red hue.

The green-eye boy strides towards my direction as my beating heart felt like it was about to burst open. He bends down and to my complete horror picks up my red thong. He glances at it for a few seconds before looking deep into my widen eyes.

I can't fucking breathe.

My cheeks turning scarlet red I quickly lean forward reaching for my used thong but he was faster then me. He back away slightly lifting my thong in the air.

This isn't happening to me.

He lets out a full blown smile, his eyes sparkle in mischief and I wanted to die or kill him instead.

I'm sure my heart stopped.

Silence passed through the both of us and I only prayed he would give me back what's mine so I can quickly do my laundry and disappear into my apartment so that I never have to see him again, but I knew I wasn't that lucky.

"Give those back," I let out breaking the silence that was eating me alive. My palms were sweating I had to wipe it off on my shorts, but I wasn't sure if it was the heat the caused it.

I watch his pinkish lips turn into a slight smirk and right there and then I knew I wanted to kill him.

Asshole.

He wanted to humiliate me.

"I don't think I will." With his index finger he circles in motion playing with my thong.

Breathe.

I flutter my eyes shut and inhale deeply before letting out my shaky breath. I open my eyes picking the rest of my clothes that was laying on the floor and into the basket. After I was done I glare back at him. "What do you want?" I question lastly eyeing my thong as he brings it closer to his face.

"Your name." He simply said.

"My name?" I ask in shock as he nods in return.

Breathe in, breathe out. "Gaia." I let out after a few seconds.

"Nice to meet you Gaia." He chuckles. "My name is Nicholas, but I guess you can call me Nick."

"I would say it's nice to meet you too, but that would be a lie." I hiss holding my basket tightly against my chest.

He shrugs while standing up inserting my thong inside of his Jean pocket all while I stared in shock and disgust that he would do such a thing. "I'll tell you what." He adds softly.

"If you allow me to take you out tonight I'll give those back to you." He smirks.

I couldn't move I was still horrified.

Such a disgusting asshole. I needed to play smart thought I didn't want him to know his actions were affecting me. I returned the smirk as I watch his falters a little.

"Keep them," I said I don't need them. I wink at him and turned around walking towards the washing machine and started the load. From the distance, I hear the door shut and I turn to see him gone.
