"We thought that it was just a normal summer, we had no idea that this would happen let alone from someone so close to us." Nikki said sipping out of a cup filled with hot chocolate--tears in her eyes and blood splattered on her face and clothes.
"Did they seem like they would do something like this?" A man in black asked, a tape recorder between the two of them. Nikki shook her head not looking up at the man. "How long have you known them?" He later asks placing his hands gently on the table. "Not long, they didn't speak much so we really didn't hang out with them much. They just seemed so sweet, but they always kept to themselves. The only one out of us that really spoke to them was Neil and Max. I just stayed back and spoke to Ered most of the time." The man nodded understanding the situation.
"Thank you for your time young lady, I'm so sorry you had to witness something so terrible. Can you tell us how it started?" He asked, Nikki shook her head, "No. I'm not good at telling stories, let alone straight. If you want to talk to someone who remembers it better than anyone--its Max." The man stopped the recording and sighed. He wasn't ready to deal with Max, he knew what kind of trouble maker her was. He was worried he wouldn't cooperate believing he may be involved.
"Thank you for your time and what information you gave me--you're free to head back with the others, just for now on stay indoors and get some rest." Nikki nodded getting up from her seat walking over to the door. The man stands up and opens the door for Nikki allowing her to head out with her head hanging lowly towards the ground and nearly into her cup.
"Send in the trouble maker." The man says, he waits for a few seconds when Max walks in with his hands shoved into his pockets. He was covered in cuts and deep wounds that were treated when he entered the building with the others. His arm was broken, he had a black eye and nose was busted. Max set himself in the chair starring down the man across from him.
"Where were you when the first murder occurred?" He asks, Max shifts in his seat nervously, he was visibly shaken up. "I...I was in my tent with Neil." Max stated swallowing down the lump in his throat, trying his best holding back his tears. "With Neil?" He asks, Max nodded quickly with a single nod. "The victim?" He questioned again, trying to break Max. Max's lips quivered knowing what he was doing.
"Y-Yes..." Max stuttered feeling a cold chill run down his spine. "Can you tell me what happened that night? What was it that you that very night with Neil?" Max took a moment to answer, "Yes, I can tell you everything." The man sighed with relief, he was finally getting somewhere.
"Please, begin." He said as he pressed record or the recorder. Max sighed, his hands shaking. "It was like any normal summer. Boring, and filled with the same faces as before that I seen the following years."
