Part(2) Powers?

"Why?" Complained Taylor with a mouthful of food.

"Come on Tay, don't be rude." I scowled. Natalie looked over to me with the evil eye.

"Hey now don't be rude to your kids!" Natalie said to me. great I thought to myself now I have 2 kids against me.

"Ya mommy, don't be so rude." she stuck her tongue out.

"I'm still your mother and I make the rules here!" Taylor dropped off her plate at the counter and started walking towards the kitchen door.

"Hey Tay, I didn't tell you you could leave." She paused turned around and sat back down.

"Good, now we need to have a talk about why Natalie is-" Natalie interrupted me.

"Let's not listen to that boring speel.." Natalie looked over at me and smirked.

"I'm taking you kids to the mall tomorrow and you can buy whatever you want!" The kids jumped up with excitement.

"Haha, yaa, about that. Kids I'm going to talk to Natalie for a minute K?" They nodded and ran to their rooms.

"The hell are you thinking?" I shouted.

"Come on lighten up they have to have some fun."

"Fun? there lucky they can go to school everyday. Natalie it's dangerous!"

"No they'll be fine I'm a SwordSayer remember?"

"Ya remember you can't use your SwordSayer powers because you'll scare people and attract demons!"

She looked at me for a moment right in the eyes I know that look she knows I'm hiding something.

"What's the real reason?" She asked.

I crept in closet to Natalie.

"I think Taylor is gaining her powers and if she uses them in public the people will get scared and The Dark Council will come!" She didn't say anything.

"Oh well then we-"

"Crash"

"AAAAAHHHHH MOMMY!!!"

"TAYLOR!!" I looked to Natalie and without hesitation ran the through the kitchen then up the stairs almost falling down as I go. I run down to the end of the hallway upstairs, where Taylor's bedroom is. The other kids are inside the bedroom behind Taylor while Taylor hugs them.

She noticed me in the doorway "MOMMY HELP!" in front of her is a Seven-foot black figure wearing a robe.

"Dark Council." Natalie whispers. "Well don't just stand there do something!" I yell. "That's a Level 8 Council Leader!" I look over to here. "and you are?!"

"Level 7" she says. "I have a idea!"

"Vennasa!" She yells. Nothing. "Natalie!" I yell the dark figure creeps closer to my kids. "VENNASA!!" she screams louder.

A sandy-blue mist appears in front of us. Different level SwordSayers have Different teleportation colors. "This is bad!" she yelped. She pulled out a steel iron sword and starts toward the figure. as soon as she's ready to swing the figure leaves.

Vennasa lowered her sword and it disappeared probably back in the armory where the swords usually go after use. I saw Taylor with her eyes closed and sobbing. I ran towards Taylor and talked to her while Natalie calmed the other children down, I can't even do that. She's good with kids.

"Taylor honey what happened?" She wouldn't speak or move, Frozen in place.

"Taylor I need to know what happened before the monster came." She turned up and looked at me wiping her tears.

"I was showing Daniel and Aryanna a cool trick I learned. I was trying to make a pillow disappear and reappear in front of me-" She continued crying.

"But instead of the Pillow coming back that came!" She hugged me.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

"Honey it's okay, let's go get some tea and talk." She nodded and walked with me Natalie staying in the room with the kids talking.

"Mommy? What, was that?" Taylor asked.

"That's, what I wanted to talk to you about."

"Oh." I set down her tea and drank some of mine.

"See Honey, you are gifted you have special powers that can do a lot of things, but you need to keep that a secret and try to not use them. Okay?" She looked at me so perplexed. I can't imagine what she's going through. Using powers you didn't know you had and then a weird creature appearing in your room. But she didn't look at me like I was crazy. like she knew about this for a long time.

"So, does that mean you have powers too?"

"Well no I'm supposed to watch you and care for you, and Natalie fights the monsters."

"Then, what are you?"

"I already told you."

"So your not my mom?"

"Well yes and no."

She looked shocked like someone hit her in the gut.

"I'm your mother and your caregiver. I.. didn't want to tell you this soon but.."

I paused did I really want to tell my daughter she isn't my daughter I guess I had no choice now.

"I'm your Half-Mother. Your real Mother Gave you to me to protect you." Silence.

"So, my mommy's in.. Danger." There was a long pause before I replied.

"I don't know, Hon." I say.

At that time Natalie comes in with Daniel and Aryanna and they hug me till I can't breath. Then they start crying and a tear rolls down Taylor's eye.

"It's okay now it's gone and everything will be alright." They calmed down and didn't say anything. I sat there for a second.

"Now, about the mall."
