Just Best Friends??

7- Really??? Am a mess...

CASSANDRA'S POV
      School was really short today. I avoided William today. It wasn't easy doing that. I had to eat lunch alone.
Avoiding William was not that easy. Even my friends noticed it.
Lisa walked up to me with a bright smile on her face. She poked me happily. "Hey baby!!!" She hailed me. I smiled coldly. There was nothing to smile for anyways. She gave me a poke. I smiled again.
"Why is my best friend giving me a cold face?" She asked concerned. I looked at William immediately. It was a reflex action. I didn't realize I stared so much. Lisa hit me hard this time.
"Wait... Don't tell me you had a fight with your best friend?" She asked, more like a command than a question. I beckoned on her to sit. She sat immediately. She began to dig into my lunch.
"My so called best friend saw me naked this morning!!!!" I tried my best to whisper. Her eyes opened. Her jaw dropped to legs. "What??" She screamed. I quickly held her mouth. It was too late. People had begun to turn to see who screamed. I buried my head in my hands. Lisa sometimes embarrassed me.
"Lisa... How did you and I end up as best friends?" I asked with a tone of concern. She only giggled.
"How did it happen?" She asked me, coming closer to me. I sighed. It wasn't something to keep away from her. "He came into my room. I had no idea. So, I came out of the bathroom, and there he was." I ended my sad story. Lisa looked pleased. She looked towards William. He coincidentally looked back at her. I became nervous. Lisa signaled him to come. I quickly began to eat my food, so as to prevent William from speaking to me.
I must really be crazy!!!
William sat down beside me. I could feel my heart journeying down to my stomach. I felt goose bumps on my body. I couldn't look at him.
"Hey love!!!" Lisa poked him. He smiled back and replied," Hey Lisa, hey Cassandra."
I smiled fakely, looking at him, and back to my food. Lisa stood up.
"Uhm... Cassy, I need to go somewhere. I'd be back!!!!" And with that, she was gone.
Lisa!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I moved a bit away from William. He noticed this. He scratched his head. I knew he was nervous because he already did that when ever he was tensed.
"Cassandra??" He called me. I looked into his eyes. "Am sorry about what happened in the morning. I didn't mean to. I really miss your company." He confessed. I was nervous. I had never felt this way in front of William. I quickly looked away.
"Oh William. It's not a big deal." I said quietly. "Besides," I turned to look into his eyes. "You are only my best friend." I completed my statement. I saw hurt in his eyes. William looked away quickly.
"Oh..." He said. I could feel the hurt in him. "Just best friends." He said under his breath.

    I waited for William by his car after school was over. William spent a lot of time inside, so I decided to go look for him.

WILLIAM'S POV
   I couldn't bear her telling me that am only a best friend. I had to admit, I had a crush on Cassandra. But she didn't see me as anything. After school was over, Gila walked up to me. It was so good to be one of the hottest boys in school. Girls everywhere. She gave me a letter and walked out. I looked around for Cassy, she had gone out of the class. I sat down with my friends and opened the letter.
          Hey Will, I have a lot to tell you baby. Meet me at the school art room in a minute.
PS : don't waste a big opportunity like this.
   My friends urged me to go to Gila. So, I grabbed my bag, and headed towards the art room.

   Gila was already waiting for me at the art room. I walked in and closed the door. Gila smiled. I actually loved her smile. I came to where she was standing. Gila stood up and gave me a hug. Well, just a hug.
  I pushed her away after some seconds. "Why did you call me here?" I asked her, adding a tone of anger. She only smiled.
" Well, I wanted to make a deal with you." She began. I folded my arms.
