Skyler POV
The week went by with Xavier bursting through the door here and there, I made a friend that has almost all the same classes as me, becoming somewhat friends with Sam and looking for places where I can go this weekend to find either a job or a car. Thankfully I saved enough money over the years to get a car with my father's help. I haven't gone on a run either since I got here so I need to find time for that as well, maybe there's a gym close by? I still have my dance classes though so I still get some exercise done. Just as I'm lost thinking what I should do today Sam burst through the door a smirk on her face as Xavier, another girl with tattoos and piercings, and a guy walked into the room making me sigh.
"You're coming to the party tonight right?" She asked me, today's Friday and even though I could spend my time looking for a gym and a car before I start apartment hunting I knew I had promised her I would go.
"You're asking her again? You know she's not gonna go." Xavier's thick accent was heard making me roll my eyes.
"Don't expect me to dress like you but I will go, I did say I'd go." I said with a shrug, partying was surly not in my schedule but I guess I can have some fun here and there.
"That being said don't expect it to be a routine." I said to her raising a brow as she nods smiling.
"Oh these are Carla and Jake." She said introducing the other two people who came inside as I nodded at them taking my phone in hand.
"Do any of you know if there's a gym close by?" I ask looking at the GPS in my phone.
"The school has one." Said Jake and I smiled looking at him.
"Oh cool I'll have to check that later." I say.
"Why would you want to go to a gym?" Xavier asked and I raise a brow at him, his green eyes had something that told me this conversation was gonna end up with him insulting me.
"I like to keep myself healthy." I say simply, that wasn't the real reason considering I absolutely hate anything related with vegetables and most fruits.
"Of course that's the reason, I mean it's not like you're skinny." He said making me roll my eyes, I'm a pretty fit girl but I buy my cloth 2 sizes bigger to hide my curves and I never wear anything short or without long sleeves.
"Would it kill you to be a bit nicer?" Jake asked.
"It's the truth though." Said the girl known as Carla as she gives me a smirk.
"You two have some nerve coming into her room and-" I cut Jake off, he may look bad but I could tell he was a pretty nice guy.
"Nah they can say whatever they want, it doesn't bother me at all." I said giving him a smile before walking to the closet taking out a long sleeve shirt and some jeans with my black converse.
"At what time is the party?" I ask Sam.
"We're leaving as soon as the two of us are ready." She said and I nod walking to the bathroom changing my cloth, I know I'm gonna feel a little out of place with this cloth but I'm not risking it. I check myself in the mirror making sure everything was alright with me before walking out to see Sam in a crop top and butty shorts with high heels on.
"You're going like that?" Xavier asked making me roll my eyes and get my phone from my bed.
"Let's go." I say walking to the door and walked out with Sam by my side. The drive consisted of some small talk and background music before we made it to a huge house.
"Wow." I gasp as I step out of the car and follow them inside, nightfall was close but the party was already on full swing, music was heard from even before we made it to the front steps. Xavier was at front with Carla by his side flirting with him making me roll my eyes at how much that annoyed me. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I like him or anything like that I just absolutely hate girls like that, girls that throw themselves at men.
We walked in and people were already drunk and grinding against each other with drinks in their hands, some guys had lost their shirts and girls were barely wearing any cloth. I continue to follow Sam and the group making it to the living room where more people were.
"Have you ever been to a party?" Jake asked making Xavier roll his eyes.
"What kind of question is that? Of course she hasn't." Xavier said annoyed making me clench my fists but I calmed down quickly when my light grey eyes met familiar brown ones as they widen and he got up almost throwing the blond girl that was trying to flirt with him.
"Oh look who decided to show up! You almost never come to parties anymore." Sam said smiling at him as he got closer.
"Yeah it's a good thing I decided to come today." He says his eyes on me as I gave him a nervous smile.
"What are you doing here?" He asked raising a brow at me.
"Blame her not me!" I almost yelled pointing at Sam but his eyes were still on me.
"Sky you know that-" I cut him off by hugging him, I didn't want him to remind me.
"I know, Ash." I say making him sigh and hug me back understanding that I knew what he was going to say but didn't want to talk about it.
"I've missed you." He said kissing my head, I hear gasps making me pull away from him with a guilty smile, after all it was me who distanced herself.. but then again he wasn't the only one I pushed away.
"As long as you don't ruin anything for yourself it's fine I guess." He said scratching the back of his neck making me smile at him.
"I won't." I promised him making him sigh but smile at me.
"You two know each other?" Carla asked looking at the two of us making us look at each other before taking a step away from each other.
"You can say that." I say with a shrug of my shoulders.
