Hi, my name is Alisa Scott. I thought I'd tell you a bit about me.
I'm 18 years old and I'm from Dublin (Ireland). I have two older sisters, Aoife and Anna, and a twin brother, Daniel.
For as long as I can remember I've loved singing and playing music. I think the first time I ever sang in front of people was when I was 3 years old and I stood on a coffee table at a Christmas party and sang Twinkle Twinkle.
When I turned 10 I started taking piano lessons but within a year I quit and started teaching myself songs I wanted to learn.
Eventually I picked up a guitar a few years later and started writing my own songs.
Last year, on the 19th Of April 2018, I started a YouTube channel. It was pretty slow at first but then the subscribers started coming. I recently hit 500,000 subs which is beyond crazy. Half a million people listen to my covers and videos which I just can't believe.
2 months ago I was signed to Island Records, like what? I'm just an ordinary teen who writes songs in her bedroom, dreaming of actually becoming a singer and now it's happening.
My mum isn't too happy about the timing though. You see I'm meant to be doing my leaving cert this year but now it doesn't really matter because I'm writing and recording my debut album. My manager Logan says I could stay in school if I wanted but how could I focus on school work at such an exciting time in my life.
