The Bet

Chapter 4

Skyler POV

"Wow um.. I hadn't expected you to have.. those." Violet said pointing at my exposed skin and I gave her a small chuckle.

"Surprising huh." I say casually.

"It's been a while since I've seen you dressed like that." Ash said looking at me and I gave him a small smile as I see him without a shirt and basketball shorts.

"Are you going to work on a car without a shirt on?" I ask him teasingly before my eyes land on Violet.

"Oh I get it now." I say with a laugh and started to walk to the garage with Ash after me Violet's hand in his.

"Get what now?" He asks making me chuckle.

"Nothing.. this feels like old times huh?" I say with a sad smile.

"Yeah it does. We'll probably spend all night on that car." He says with a chuckle.

"Probably, I would love to be able to use it by Monday." I say making it to the garage and felt Ash's hand pet my head.

"I'm sure we can do that." He said making me smile.

"So have you two dated each other before or?" I hear Violet's voice making both of us tense up at the subject.

"Uh no.. I've actually never had a boyfriend before and I honestly don't want one.. most guys are asses." I say with a shrug putting my hair in a messy bun in my head getting all of my hair out of the way.

"Why not?" She asked tilting her head to the side.

"How about we get started?" Ash said to which I was thankful and Violet seemed to get that I didn't wanna talk about it. Me and Ash started to work on the car as Violet watched us joke around and work and we included her in some of the conversations to not make her feel left out. Night came quickly and Violet excused herself to go to bed at about 10 leaving me and Ash to continue working on the car. It was coming along nicely as we continued. By the time Violet came back still in her pj's it was 10 in the morning.

"Wow it actually looks like a brand new car." She said as her eyes widen looking at the car making me smile.

"It's coming along nicely! Just a bit more and then paint it." I say making Violet chuckle.

"How about you both come inside and eat breakfast before you continue?" She asked making Ash and me smile and walk towards her Ash giving her a kiss in the forehead making her frown maybe because she was expecting a kiss on the lips and I look down.

"You don't have to hold back just because I'm here Ash." I mumble walking pass them to give them some space.

"You can start eating without us, I have some stuff to talk with Violet." Ash said to me and I nodded walking to the dining room where the food was and ate, he was probably telling her about my past or part of it but I didn't mind, if it'll help her not doubt me then that's fine. About 5 minutes later Ash and Violet came and I finished eating.

"I'll be working on the car." I say giving them a small smile and walking away.

I continue to work on the car and a few minutes later Ash joined me at about maybe 6 the car was ready all that was left was the paint.

"If you want you can go get a bath and dressed for me to take you back, you have school tomorrow and you need your sleep. I can do the painting, you already bought the color and everything." He said and I nodded yawning.

"I'd appreciate it." I say making him smile and I walk inside taking my bag and walking to the bathroom getting a good bath before putting on the cloth I had come to this house with putting the dirty one in the bag and walking out.

"Ready?" He asked, he only put an old shirt on and changed his pants but he was still dirty from the car, my guess is he's gonna get to work as soon as he gets back so there was no use in him getting a bath when we was gonna get dirty again in a few minutes.

"Yeah." I say and follow him out the door and to his car making it back to the dorms and said our goodbyes. As I walk into my room the three people that were here yesterday were still here.

"You're all still here huh?" I mumble tiredly. It's been a while since I'd stay up for more than 24 hours straight.

"They actually came back about an hour ago. Where were you?" Sam asked curious watching the bag in my hand.

"Nowhere. I really need some sleep though." I mumble walking to my bed after throwing the bag in the closet.

"You've been out all night and you were nowhere?" Carla said making me roll my eyes.

"You and I aren't friends nor roommates so don't even talk to me as if you knew me cause you don't. Where I was is non of your business." I say holding myself back from cursing, I get moody and cranky when I'm sleepy.

"Ouch." I hear Sam and Xavier say at the same time and I remember that I still haven't changed making me groan and get up walking to the closet again pulling out some sweats, a hoodie, and socks. I walked to the bathroom and changed quickly before walking out again. I felt Xavier watching me as soon as I got out of the bathroom which I ignored putting my earphones on and getting lost in the music as sleep took over me.

Xavier POV

How can a girl look so good in sweats and a hoodie? I watched as she closed her eyes with the earphones in and she looked so perfect.. what? What the hell am I even thinking?

"Why don't we look in that bag and find out where she was?" Carla said and I couldn't help but nod, I'm so fucking curious as to why she left with Ashton and with those cloth no less.

"Just because you're mad she told you off doesn't mean you can get into her business Carla so if either of you even make a move to walk even close to her closet I will have you leave." Sam said in a threatening way making Carla and me scoff.
