I see you (bucky x reader)

"NO! BUCKY NO!" Y/N screamed. You knew There was nothing you could do as you were slowly draged away. Bucky looked into your eyes and mouthed: ill be ok. Tears pooled into your eyes as you helplessly watched as your bestfriend was brainwashed yet again. You could only pray that he rembered you. He had to. You didnt know what you would do if he didnt.

You stumbled as you were shoved into your new cell.
"Meet your new friend Asset, y/n. She will be joining you now on your missions. You are to be partners."
"Hi, im.... sorry i dont remember my name." You whisperd
"Im Bucky but please dont call me that. Otherwise they'll wipe me again."
Needless to say, you friendship grew from there. Insperable. He helped you, you helped him. To be sure that in any case either of you were being wiped, you always did a call and response. One would say : what do you see? And the other would reply i see you. This method helped. It saved them both.
(Present)
A creak was heard and you look up to see an empty Bucky. He look like death. Collapsing, on the ground. You grabed his hand.
"What do you see?" You repeated this over and over hoping to jog his memory. After a while, you started to loose hope. You closed your eyes. Just as you drifted off you heard 3 words that made your heart soar.
"I see you."
