Chapter 14 : The Dream to the Big Apple

After days of preparation, Aqours performed at Taipei with a fire on their eyes. They wanted to advance to the Finals, where if the sales of the Regionals skyrocketed, the Finals will be held at Madison's Square Garden.

The Regionals were over and...

"WE ADVANCE TO THE FINALS!!!!" Riko shouted with joy. They advanced to the Finals.

"Later, we will announce the situation of the Finals. So please stand-by." the announcer said.

The winners came back to the lobby, where Aqours celebrated their victory.

"I'm so happy guys!!!! We advanced!!!!! We need to overcome one more hurdle, and it's all over!!!!" Riko proclaimed. She was in a bliss, as her dream is close to reality.

"We need to beat your lover's group first." Ai said.

"Yeah, we should prepare for that." Shuka said. She also know that there are a lot of competitors, but You's group is the favorites at the moment.

"Yeah, I know. Hanamaru and Ai, come with me for a sec." Riko said, and grabbed Hanamaru and Ai to a corner.

This leaves Shuka and Yoshiko alone.

"Yo, Yoshi-chan. How are you?" Shuka said, but sounded gloomy. She doesn't know how to respond to her, after her declaration of her relationship with Hanamaru.

Flashback

"Where did Yoshi go?" Shuka asked. As today was their day-off, she wanted to spend time with Yoshiko.

"She's off with Hanamaru. I think they had a date or something. Okay, gotta find some clothes. Bye Shuka." Ai said and waved, as she left.

Shuka felt sadness. Something she hasn't felt for some time.

She wanders to Taipei, as she has no clue of what to do. She has a lot of ideas and places to go to with Yoshiko, but since she's with Hanamaru, Riko's with You, as You came to Taipei to support her girlfriend, and Ai went to shopping. She was alone.

"What should I do? Yoshi-chan's off with Hanamaru-chan. I just don't know what to do. I'm just confuse." she said to herself. She spend her entire time wandering to the city, and as before 6pm, she came back to the hotel, only to see...

"Guys, me and Hanamaru are dating!!!" Yoshiko proclaimed proudly.

"WOW!!! CONGRATS!!!!!" Riko shouted, as You gave them a smile.

"Congrats you two." Ai said happily.

"Shuka, good timing. Let's celebrate as we have these two love birds confess their love for each other." You said, as everyone are preparing to celebrate this moment.

Except Shuka.

End of Flashback

"Fine. How about you? You weren't the same after I just said Hanamaru's my girlfriend. You should be happy, right?" Yoshiko asked with a concern. For the past days, Shuka is not that happy or friendly. She's gloomy and hallow.

"I'm not fine. Not at all." Shuka said with a frown. She was not fine at all.

"Why?" Yoshiko asked.

"I'm lonely. I mean, I'm happy that you're in a relationship now with Maru-chan, but I'm just lonely. I felt that I'm the odd one here. I felt Ai has a special someone, based on her actions. I just don't want to be left out behind." Shuka answered.

"I see. You shouldn't feel left out, you know. We love you. You're the one who gave us energy, and your performance is contaminating, in a good way. You're that great. You shouldn't worry that much, cause we cared for you." Yoshiko said with a smile.

"Thanks, Yoshi-chan. I'm really lame, right?" Shuka said. "I'm getting upset that I'm alone. I should grow up and mature. Sorry about that."

"No, we're glad that you're jealous. Because that means you cared for us. You valued our presence. You want to spend time with us. You know, if we will go to New York, we could hang out, the five of us. Don't worry about it, okay? I love that you cared for us dearly. Don't change, okay?" Yoshiko responded. She smiled and assures Shuka that they won't leave her behind.

"Thanks Yoshi-chan." Shuka hugged Yoshiko. "Take care of Maru-chan, okay?"

"I will." Yoshiko replied.

Ai, Hanamaru and Riko came back.

"Gladly Shuka-chan is alright, Zura." Hanamaru said with a smile.

"Yeah. You're the purest out of all of us. Please stay that way." Ai said.

"LET'S HUG GUYS!!!! OUR DREAM TO THE BIG APPLE IS ALMOST THERE!!!" Riko shouted, as the five are in an embrace.

While they're in an embrace, the announcer has made an announcement.

"Okay guys, since the sales are a complete success. We will go to New York City in the Finals!!!"
