Oswald teared up a little as him and Ed were being sentenced, But his hand remained in Ed's, holding on tightly.

“Oswald Cobblepot will be sentenced to 10 years in Blackgate.”

Oswald shook. He couldn't handle Arkham, he was sure he couldn't handle Blackgate.

“And Edward Nygma will be sentenced to 10 years in Arkham Asylum”

Everything else was a blur as Ed shouted “No!”

Any change in time

They gripped each others hands as they were pulled apart, up til the last moment. Ed hit a guard who was grabbing him and ran over, kissing Oswald. It didn't last long, and they were pulled apart again, Oswald crying and Ed yelling.

Oswald sat in his cell, silent. He refused to leave his cell, but that's when he got his first letter.

“Dear Oswald,

        Hello my love, dear. I hope you're doing okay so far. I'm planning on a way to escape, so I can break you free. Try to stay strong for me, okay?

                                           Edward”

They continued to send each other letters everyday for ten years, until the day had come. The day for them both to be released from imprisonment. Oswald was ready.

In these coming years
Many things will change

Oswald walked out of Blackgate, and when he saw Ed outside waiting, he made his way towards him quickly.

“Ed-”

“Oswald-”

But the way I feel
Will remain the same

Ed kissed Oswald, and Oswald melted into the kiss. As soon as they pulled away, Ed smiled.

“I've waited ten years to do that again, and this.”

Ed got down on one knee, pulling out a box with a ring.

“Oswald Cobblepot, I loved you since the minute you payed Hugo strange to save me. In a way, I actually truly fell in love with you when I found you in the woods, but things happened. You've been absolutely wonderful to me while I've been a jerk, but Will you marry me?”

Oswald teared up. People around them watched, seemingly not surprised.

“Yes, I'll marry you.”

Oswald felt the ring being slipped onto his finger, and he happily kissed Ed as he cried tears of joy.
