CHAPTER THREE

JERRY'S POV

'You look gorgeous '

To be candid she's damn gorgeous, never met her before or saw her around. But she's just too harsh for my liking. Goddammit.

I enter my car and drove to the grocery store, I picked few things I needed and left.

It's almost time to meet with Esther.

I texted Vincent to inform him am not coming home early.
Instead of going home, I drove straight to the park.

As I gentle man, I should get their early.

I got to the park fifteen minutes earlier, I sat on one of the chair and waited for her.

Do I love her? I only have likeness for her but she's taking it too far. Am not the type that suit her, am a bad guy that doesn't care for a lady. All I care for in a lady is to have fun and go our separate ways.
The best thing is to tell her the truth, I don't want to hurt her.

I saw her car in distance and stood up to welcome her, she drove slowly as she parked her car.
The two front door opened and what I saw baffled me.

ASHANTI'S POV

I was very angry at the guy that tried to shorten my lifetime.

I think am too harsh, I shouldn't have reacted that way. Atleast he's sorry.
Whatever. I rolled my eyes.

Beep beep, I received a message.

Esther: Hi girlfriend

Me: what's good?

Esther: what's your plan for the day?

Me: nothing much.

Esther : am coming to pick you.

Me: why?

Esther : we are going to the park.

Me: okay.

I pocket my phone and keep walking to the grocery store. I bought few things and quickly rushed home.
I showered and changed my clothes. Went to the sitting room, I switched on the TV to my favorite program THE CRIMINAL CASE. I went to the kitchen and to get a glass of water and went back  to my program.
I looked at my phone, it was 4:21pm.

Why is she taking long to get here?

I was about to message her when I heard a knock on my door.

Talk of the devil.

'Bitch, the door is open', I said but still focused on the TV.

'Shouldn't you be ready by now?' Esther said immediately she entered.

I rolled my eyes 'not until when you decide to show up few minutes to the fixed time'.

'Anyways, get your little ass up and let's go'. She said on her way out.

I switched off the TV and locked my door. We made our way to her car and she drove out of the driveway.

'What's the outing all about', I asked crossing my arms.

'I want to you to meet someone'
She said smiling.

'If I may ask, who is that someone you want me to meet?

'It's m..... Never mind it a surprise ' she replied.

We drove for a while and stopped when the traffic light shows the red light.
This morning incident flashed through my mind and I felt bad because of the way I reacted to the guy.
Finally we got to the park, Esther turned off the ignition.
I froze when I saw the person standing right in front of me.

Oh God please, let it not be what am thinking.

'Ashanti meet Jerry my friend and this Ashanti my bestie'.
