Baylee had broken ribs and a hole in her leg that they managed to fix up meanwhile Millie got looked at in the other room alone where Baylee soon joined her. She came over and took Millie's hand in hers.
"How are you looking?" Millie asked.
"Three broken ribs a possible fracture in my leg along with a bullet hole. But it's all ok. How about you?" Baylee asked.
"I'm waiting for my results." Millie sighed.
"Results for...?" Baylee said.
"Well if I-... If I'm pregnant." Millie said as tears filled her eyes. Baylee hugged her around the neck and Millie hugged her around the waist.
"If I am will you stay?" Millie sniffled.
"I wouldn't ever leave you Millie don't worry." Baylee said. A nurse came in looking a bit pale and Baylee just gave her a look and the nurse nodded after Millie looked up too. Millie sobbed into Baylee.
Months passed of no school for the two just hanging out and recovering from everything. Millie's family was upset and didn't treat her entirely right but Baylee came over all the time and slept over almost every night. Millie was four months pregnant and showing. Baylee got in Millie's bed. It was early in the morning and Millie was still asleep. Millie groaned.
"How's my girl?" Baylee said getting in the bed and putting her arm over Millie. Millie rolled and wrapped her arms around Baylee.
"Growing pains." Millie groaned. Baylee rubbed Millie's protruding belly.
Later they got up and dressed and sat on Millie's bed.
"I've been thinking..." Millie said.
"That's dangerous." Baylee teased. Millie grinned and rolled her eyes than her smile faded.
"Where should I have the baby?" Millie said.
"The hospital probably. It's not going to be very easy for you." Baylee said and took Millie's hands in hers.
"I know... but I would feel more secure at home." Millie said.
"It's entirely up to you but I think your going to need all hands on deck." Baylee said. Millie pushed herself to Baylee and Baylee scooped her into her lap. Baylee was sitting crisscrossed and had Millie's back to her. She wrapped her arms around her and Millie put her hands on Baylee's arms.
"As long as your with me I think I'll be ok." Millie said.
"I'll be wherever you tell me to be." Baylee said.
"What do you want to do today?" Millie asked.
"You have an appointment in an hour." Baylee said. Millie groaned and sighed.
"I just..." Millie sighed.
"You just what?" Baylee grins but it fades.
"I don't know how I'm going to do this." Millie said as tears flooded her eyes. Baylee held her close.
"Mills you're so much stronger than you know. It's not going to be easy but trust me you can do it." Baylee said. She and Millie kissed than Mrs. Brown knocked on the door.
"Are you two ready to leave?" She asked.
"We'll be right down." Baylee said. Millie got dressed with some help from Baylee than Baylee wheeled her down and to the car and got her in. Baylee put her wheelchair in the trunk then got in the car. Millie clenched her hand and Baylee moved so that she was sitting in the middle and put her arm over Millie. Millie leaned her head into Baylee and held her hand tight.
They all got called into the room and Baylee sat Millie onto the table. Mrs. Brown decided to wait in the hall as she was having a hard time looking at Millie at all. The nurse came in with a pen and clipboard in hand.
"Have you had any back pain?" the nurse asked.
"Um yeah here and there." Millie said. The nurse looked at Millie.
"That's normal but since she can't walk she can't really stretch so just keep an eye on that, she could use being massaged or something." the nurse said.
"Alright." Baylee said.
"Alright I'm going to have to ask some more personal questions is that ok?" the nurse asked.
"Ok, yeah." Millie nodded.
"Would you say you've noticed sensitivity in your woman areas?" the nurse asked.
"Yeah. A lot actually." Millie admitted.
"What color has your discharge been?" the nurse asked.
"Um..." Millie was a little awkward feeling.
"Brownish?" the nurse said.
"Yeah..." Millie said a little low.
"And would you say your nipples are very sore?" the nurse asked. Both girls went red.
Baylee took Millie's hand to comfort her.
"Yeah." Millie said and swallowed staring down at the floor.
"Alright I'm going to need you to take your pants off and the doctor will be with you shortly." the nurse said and left the room after scribbling down the last bit.
"That was..." Millie sighed.
"Awkward?" Baylee finished her sentence.
"Yeah..." Millie said.
"Here let me help you." Baylee gently slid Millie pants down and off and folded them and set them to the side. Baylee hopped up and Millie held her hand tight.
The doctor came in shortly after. She had the clipboard and an assistant with her.
"Hello Millie I'm doctor Dale." the woman said.
"Hi..." Millie said.
"So your here for a check up?" Dr. Dale said.
"Yeah." Baylee answered.
"Then let's get started." Dr. Dale said and handed her clipboard to her assistant.
