I hate alarms.
Kayla kept repeating that to herself throughout the time it took her to get ready for school.
She hated Mondays.
But she hated this Monday more.
It wasn't because school just reopened, but because that annoying devil had not only FaceTimed with her at 1:00 am,but she'd asked her to be at school earlier than usual because of God knows what package.
Why didn't she just have it delivered to the house?.
Kayla just shook her head.
Trust Thelma with the dramatic crazy ideas.
As if crazy wasn't enough already.
She heard honking from outside and knew Jay had arrived.
She wasn't driving today.
More still
It just felt good to wake him up early.
She sighed,picking up her backpack.
Trust her to be just plain evil sometimes.
Okay most times.
It was just priceless to see a sleep deprived Jay.
He wasn't a morning person.
Dad had already left for work so she just locked up and made her way to Jay's car.
Oh my my!.
If looks could kill,Kayla would be down under by now.
She just rolled her eyes at him and got in.She put her backpack in the back and he drove off without even a word.
It took all her mental power not to laugh at him.
Grumpy.
"Hey",She said cautiously suppressing a giggle.
He only grunted.
" C'mon I'm sorry ",she said not meaning any of it.
And he knew.
He chuckled.
"Now tell me,why the hell did you wake me this early to drive you to school when you have a car!",he said after a while, casting her a threatening gaze in the mirror.
Because I'm evil.
"I'm out of gas",she lied.
Jay sighed.
She's a hopeless case this one.
Really Kayla, really?",he said rolling his eyes.
She shrugged.
That's the best she could come up with.
"Just drop it and I'll buy you anything you want for lunch",she supplied, not wanting to deal with his barbieness.
He was such a drama queen.
He didn't even bother to reply but with the smirk he was trying to hide, she knew she would have made a better deal by selling her soul to the devil.
The shady bastard was gonna send her running to the dumps completely broke.
Wrong move Kayla.
*. *. *
Kayla was pissed by lunch.
