The next day, we had some bacon from a pig that one of the guys slaughtered on their rampage. I thought I would go on a walk by myself, just to escape the tense mood that was flooding the shelter.
I was thinking to myself as I walked why are they so competitive over me? I mean, am I really that special to them? I thought I was an ordinary girl, but then Rick came in and told me all this weird stuff about assassins and rich people with nuclear bombs, which made me realize that I’m not ordinary. But what do the guys like about me so much? Is it my looks, my personality, both? What is it? I kept thinking as I walked, but then realized something. I got lost.
“Aw crap!”
I was searching for a while, looking for the way back, and realized I shouldn’t have been thinking so much. People would think I know the entire island by heart, but I must’ve gone into another part of the island which I didn’t know much about. As I was running, I screamed, “Hey, Ryoma! Kyo! Rick! Can I get a little help?! Hello!?”
I screamed for about twenty minutes, and then realized it was hopeless. They probably couldn’t hear me from all the way back at the shelter. I kept searching for an area that seemed just a bit familiar, but it was hopeless. I just couldn’t find my way out of this maze.
It turned to darkness, and I was still lost. I just wished the guys could hear me from here. I knew I couldn’t give up on finding a way out of here, but it was kind of hard now. I decided to go find somewhere where I would be able to sleep.
As I was searching for a temporary shelter, I heard rustling in the bushes. I grabbed the sharpest stick I could find, and was prepared for a battle against the evil demon hiding. I saw something jump out of the bushes, and it was a little lion cub.
“Aw, aren’t you cute.”
I started to walk towards the cub, and then a giant lion came up and pinned me down. I guessed that this was the cub’s mom, and I was pretty sure I was right on the mark. I thought that I was a goner, but then, just out of pure luck I guess, Kyo and Ryoma jump out of the bushes and start a battle with the beast.
I stared at the fight, unable to move since the mother landed straight on me. I saw that Kyo seemed even more angry now, trying to keep me safe. And Ryoma, he looked just like Kyo, with the fire of anger and passion in his eyes.
The fight went on, and then the beast jumped and landed straight on my head. I was knocked out, but still able to barely hear for just a couple of seconds, “Sakura!!! SAKURA!!!” All I knew was that I was blacked out.
