The next morning, I woke up, but I realized Kyo beat me to it.
“Good morning princess, how are you feeling this fine morning?”
“Princess? What the heck?”
“Well, I call you princess all the time, do you remember?”
I thought about it, and then told him, “Sorry, doesn’t ring a bell.”
“Oh, okay then. Breakfast is ready, so do you want to wake the other guy up?”
“Sure.”
I woke Ryoma up, we ate, and then Kyo and Ryoma took me for another walk, trying to help me remember. They showed me a hot spring that looked like it felt really good, so I decided to go there a little bit later for a bath. Then they also showed me a spot called “my star spot,” which I didn’t understand why they called it “my star spot” because I had the amnesia and all, so I couldn’t really remember why.
“So why is it called ‘my star spot?’”
“Well, you’re the one who discovered it in the first place. You told me you loved the view out here, and that you loved the stars. That’s why I made that mural for you. You were injured and couldn't leave the shelter.”
“Okay, so I love the stars, good to know.”
We continued our little journey to a spot called “my relaxing spot.”
“So, I’m going to guess that this is called ‘my relaxing spot’ because I discovered it.”
“Bingo, so does the princess remember anything about her kingdom?”
“Nope, not really. This is kind of hopeless guys, but I have one question, how did I get amnesia in the first place?”
Kyo looked like he didn’t really want to talk about it, so Ryoma told me, “Well, we were fighting this giant lion because you were hurt and couldn’t fight. Before the fight started, you got lost, so we had to come and rescue you. Kyo finally killed it, and somehow sent it flying. When it landed, I guess it hit your head, so now you can’t remember anything.”
“Did that help you remember anything?”
“Nope, not really. I’m sorry guys, but I don’t think I’ll ever remember anything.”
“Don’t worry; we will get you to remember. You just need to try to think of things from your past. Like, do you remember what Rick told you?”
“Um, who’s Rick? And what the hell are you talking about?”
The guys looked like they were ready to give up, but Ryoma told me, “Rick is your guardian who’s disguised as a coconut. He was the coconut with arms and legs that you saw in the shelter when you first woke up.”
“Oh, so I wasn’t hallucinating.”
“… Yeah.”
