I'm a Hybrid

The fears we don't face become our limits.

You're running through the woods being chased down by your best friend, Daniel, his hair blowing in the wind, the pair of you have been running for hours, you slow down and sit besides Daniel on a large rock to rest. You pull your brunette hair from your face gazing at him with your blue eyes. You start to blush but quickly turn away as you feel your cheeks warming up. Then turn back to face him, he smiles at you and his grey eyes sparkling as the sun reaches his face.
"You're a brilliant runner, Luna!"
"You're not so bad if I do say so myself" you tease and laugh, but you can no longer keep looking at him as you instantly fall in love all over again "race you back to my house!"
You two run through the woods his hand in yours as you lead the way back to your cabin which is surrounded by your pack who have gathered in a circle.
"What's going on?" you panick. Everyone turns to face you eyes widened and shocked. You gently let go of Daniel's hand. No one breathes a single word until your sister does
"Lu- mother- she died" Hayley explains holding back the river in her eyes. Looking in the direction of your mother's body flat on the ground, her heart ripped out of her body next to her, her face pale and veins popped out.
"No- no!" you fall to the muddy grounds your face in your hands, barely moving, hardly breathing. You cry hysterically. Everyone pitying you, feeling your loss.
Daniel wraps his hands around you "shhhh, it's ok it's ok" and you let him comfort you but no one else, your eyes meet his and you see him tearing up "it will be alright".
He walks you into the cabin. "Will you stay here tonight?" you ask.
"I-Erm sure" he answers.
"I just want to be here with someone I trust." You turn away and look towards your mother's half empty cup of coffee and quickly look away...

The next day, you walk downstairs with bullet shot eyes not saying a word.
"Luna... you'll have plenty of time to grief later" Hayley says "for now, mum wouldn't want for us to be flooding our eyes"
"This is bull Hay! BULL! How is she gone? What happened? You said you'd tell me today after I calmed down!"
"Ok. If it's really what you want. I'll tell you. It appears our parents made enemies-"
"And? Get on with it."
"The witches. The witches killed her"
Your eyes grow wide and turn yellow "I'm going to kill them" and you head towards you front door.
Your sister grabs your arm and holds you into a deep hug "shhh, we have plenty of time for revenge. But you aren't ready to face what's in front of us."
You let Hayley's words sink into you, willing to listen. "Go on..."
"You know what you have to do-"
"No! I can't. I fear what I am."
"Lu, listen to me, turn your humanities off for just a second!"
"Bu- I can't, not after last time"
"What will you do when I'm gone, huh? You aren't ready for war just yet. You must face what you are! You're a hybrid, a vampire and a warewolf"
"Say no more" you look down to your boots, kicking your feet forwards one after the other, dreading what's about to come next. "But don't expect for me to turn my humanity back on. You know it's hard"
"We have something to fight for, the witches wanted payback so that's what we give them"
"I'm, I'm scared!"
"The fears we don't face becomes our limits" you hear Daniel say as he reaches the bottom of the stairs leaning on the side. You try to smile but find it impossible.
