"Fairy! Where are you?" mom called from down.
"Coming! Just getting ready.. 5 more minutes please", I shouted back.
"You're going to get late for school again." Mom yelled.
"Would you wait for a second , please." I bellowed.
I woke up late today, just like yesterday and the day before which is badly affecting my punctuality. My teachers always call home because I get late in the classroom and miss most of my lectures, which concerns them as I might lose my current good grades. To be honest, I think it doesn't matter as long as you are attending the school.
"Fairy, how long?" Mom called again.
I went down, took a toast in my hand and ran out with my backpack. I didn't put on much make up today nor did I wore nice extortionate clothes, because I am not one of those girls who dress up for school to get attention of other students. People in my school are hypocrites. I don't like making many friends, I just have one best friend, Markus.
Markus is a tall and good looking teenager, his Caribbean tan skin totally matches with his frizzy hair. In general if you see Markus you will realize that he is one of those spoiled rich kids who just spend their dad's money lavishly. When I met Markus I was in grade 7 and I was totally in love with his looks but it turned out that he already had girls falling at his feet, thus I decided to remain his best friend.
I reached school and I was already 30 minutes late. Mr. Drake asked me to come in and talk to him after this pathetically never ending international history class ends. I sat ahead of Markus, and passed him a weak smile which he passed just as he received. The class ended and I stayed back in my seat.
"Fairy, I'll be waiting outside", Markus stated giving a reassuring look.
"Oh yeah. Alright", I replied.
Mr. Drake waits until everyone leaves. The time when everyone has left Mr. Drake starts walking towards my desk and stands still. His hand moves forward towards my messy hair strand on my forehead, and he pulls it back my ears and smirks.
"What do you want, Sir?" I demand.
"Hey sweetie cool down, would you? I just want you to know that you are one of the most attractive students that I like seeing every morning, and I don't want you to be late " He states and I really want to rush out of this uncomfortable environment.
"I will try not to be late by tomorrow, I guess we are done now." I say while standing up.
"Oh no we aren't done yet, sweet cheeks." He says out in the most husky and seductive voice while holding my wrist. This is the most uncomfortable thing ever happening to me.
Mr. Drake starts walking close towards me, Markus was standing out of the class as he told me. Why didn't this hit my mind before.
"MARKUS! MARKUS!" I wailed, when Mr. Drake had held me by both wrists.
Markus came breaking down the door just when I shouted his name. I am so proud of my best friend. He saw tears in my eyes and when Mr. Drake realized that he has been caught red handed, he started stuttering random words.
"Umm, Fairy I-I h-hope you have l-learned the lesson", Mr. Drake responded in this unutterable complicated situation.
"Sir, it's a damn shame. Really! I mean look at you, you are our teacher. This kind of harassment is illegal". Markus claims.
Markus holds me by my arm and takes me to the principal's office.
After stating the complain, "I as your principal am very grateful that you came to me taking this complain, and I would do my best to resolve this problem as soon as possible. Fairy would that be okay if I call your parents?"
"Yeah." I say in the most simplest voice.
"Alright then." Principal speaks.
Markus and I went out to the empty football ground and sat with our lunch.
"Hey, girl?" Markus states in the most sweet way.
"Yeah", Markus's sea blue eyes examining my face.
"Are you okay?" Markus says in a brotherly caring tone. I don't want to speak, but he knows if I won't I will keep crying the whole day all alone in my room.
"A-hmm, I didn't know Mr. Drake was.." shit this is what happens with me, I am super emotional.
"Shh, no more tears rolling down that gorgeous face." He cleans my cascading tears.
"Markus. I don't like coming to the school. Nobody likes.... me."
"No more tears, Fairy, warning you this time." He holds me in his overly large arms and I slowly calm down. "This is what life is, we always expect good. There will be millions of people you'll meet in your life who won't always be there to give you advantages instead they'll use you. This world is filled with monsters like these, Fairy."
He keeps soothing me down when I am under his overly protective zoned arms. My head is resting on his chest. He kisses my hair and both of us lie down on bare lush wet grass. I spent the whole afternoon with Markus. After school, Markus and I go to have lunch together since both of us were starving.
I sat down with Markus after ordering our food. We were sitting just beside the large counter when I realized that the girls sitting behind us were actually gawking at Markus. He as always being well aware of the attention he is being provided with doesn't really show an inch of heed. Sometimes I really feel bad for these girls. Markus has never been in a serious relationship at least as long as I have known him he has always been dumping those poor girls within weeks.
"Markus?"
"Yes, my lady?" Those nicknames he gives me are always flattering.
"Why haven't you come in a real relationship for once?" He is well aware of my curiousness.
"Well, because the lady I like has never really known that I love her." He states way too bluntly. And this really makes me sad.
"Too bad! Does she know that you like her?"
"I have no idea, baby." His boyish smirk is so hot.
I wonder who is the lucky women he likes. I mean anybody would give her heart to this precious boy. I wish I could tell him that I have feelings for him.
