Chapter 1: Big Surprise!

Beep Beep Beep---

"Ugh."

My hand swept across the bedside table, dropping everything in the process, finally shutting the cursed alarm off, before pulling the covers over the top of my head, and once again, slipped into unconsciousness.

"-and the winner for the best dance goes to Lillian" I walked up on the stage wearing my green jean shorts and sparkly green t-shirt. "Thank you everyone for voting for m---" 

Then, I felt a really cold sensation pass over me.

 "AAHHH!"

First thing I saw was my best friend standing in front of me smirking.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" I screamed.

"YOU WOULDN'T WAKE UP ANY OTHER WAY!" she said defensively.

"THAT IS NOT THE WAY A PERSON WANTS TO WAKE UP IN THE MORNING!" I argued back.

"I WAS WAKING YOU UP CAUSE WERE LATE FOR SCHOOL!"

That's when my eyes turned to look at the clock.

Ah fuck.

Without saying another word to the psychopath standing there, I ran up to my bathroom and got into the shower.

It was one of the quickest showers of my life, and I am not kidding. It was like 30 seconds long. I wrapped myself in a towel and ran straight to my walk-in closet. I skidded to a halt and threw on a random pair of jeans and t-shirt, grabbed my school bag off the ground and ran downstairs where Ceren stood.

"Finally..." She grumbled. I just shook my head and started walking out the door. I looked down and saw my outfit. I had bright blue skinny jeans, a purple tank top and my Jack Wills jumper. My short dark brown hair was left down and I had my thick black glasses on. I then realised I forgot my shoes, so I grabbed my TOMS and ran out the door.

Ceren sat in the drivers seat, fixing her lip-loss.

"Hurry up Lilly!"

Gee-whiz. First cold water and now her screaming at me. Honestly, I think that there is something really wrong with her. I opened the car door and hopped in.

"Took you long enough..." Ceren mumbled.

 I really feel like strangling her right about now.

She fled through the busy streets and parked my yellow convertible in the parking space. We reached the gates where the security guard stopped us.

"Hang on right there ladies, I need your student ID cards."

Damn it. I knew that I forgot something. I looked up at Ceren and she just shook her head saying she didn't have hers either.

"Hey look, is that a flying pelican?" Ceren faked enthusaism, pointing to the sky.

"Where?" The security guard looked up.

She grabbed my hand as we ran across the grounds and ran straight through our class doors. Our teacher looked at us and everyone in the class burst out laughing.

"Girls what happened?" The teacher looked at us on the verge of laughing.

Then the guard appeared behind us. He explained everything to the teacher and left.

"Next time if you don't have your ID cards just tell him your names" The teacher smiled and shook his head.

Everyone was still laughing.

"Next time it's going to be flying pigs." Ceren murmured into my ear. I just looked at her. Sometimes I think she was dropped ALOT when she was little.

Our professor just kept talking on and on about something I dont know, so I just put my head down and wandered off to dreamland.

"Lilly get up." Someone was shaking me

"WHAT?!" I cracked open my eyes.

"You dozed off in class." Ceren told me. Oh. I just stood up and followed her out, as I kept thinking about the weird dream I had.

It was I was riding a unicorn and then suddenly I was...eating a carrot.

What the hell?!

I told Ceren about my dream and she stared right at me.

"One extra weirdo in our school! Yippee!" Ceren couldn't talk! She was the one who climbed a tree thinking there was a choc chip cookie waiting for her, and guess what? She fell and broke her arm, and was in hospital for 3 weeks!
