“Morning Sakura, you okay?”
Kyo came up really close to me and wiped my tear. I kind of wanted this to happen in my dream, so I’m glad it did happen.
“Well, it seems like the princess had a sad dream. Was it one of your old memories from home?”
“Yeah, but it wasn’t as sad as yours.”
There was a long silence after I said that, so I guess that I shouldn’t have said it at all.
“I’m sorry, forget I said that. Actually, I just thought of something.”
“What is it?”
“Rick has been on sleep mode for a while. Maybe we should wake him up.”
“That might be a good idea, but how do we work him?”
“I don’t know, let me take a look.”
I walked up to Rick, picked him up, and started to examine him. I finally found a small switch that said sleep mode and on mode. I switched the switch onto on mode, and Rick woke up.
“Good morning everyone! How long was I on sleep mode?”
“For a pretty long time, my guess is about two or three weeks.”
The guys seemed like they agreed with what I said, so we just went with that.
“Well, I must say, that is a long time. WHY DIDN’T ANY OF YOU WAKE ME UP!!!”
“Well… we kind of didn’t notice because of my amnesia and stuff.”
“You had amnesia?! I’M SUPPOSED TO BE YOUR GUARDIAN!!! WHY DID NO ONE INFORM ME ABOUT THIS?!?!”
“Well, Kyo and Ryoma seem to be more like guardians than you Rick. That’s probably because they’ve been so close to me for so long, and plus… they’re actual people.”
“Ah, so that’s how it is. You need a human, preferably male, to be your guardian. Alright then, I’ll just be the weird talking coconut named Rick.”
“It’s nothing personal, it’s just… they do a better job. You could probably be better than them if—“
“HEY!!! HE’S A COCONUT!!! HOW COULD HE BE ANY BETTER THAN US!?!”
“Just relax you guys, sheesh. You say one bad thing about them and then the get all dramatic.”
“SHUT UP!!!”
“I’m good, but thanks for the offer.”
I had a cute, funny little smirk on my face, and Kyo seemed like he really wanted to punch me in the face, but he wouldn’t do that, at least not to me.
We left to go find our dinner, leaving Rick behind. He seemed upset, but he’s a coconut, so what harm could he do? We found a huge cat with the jewels for eyes and slaughtered it. The guys got the meat, and I got the eyes. This one had green eyes. I found them to be a beautiful color, but there was this one color that I loved only because of my favorite flower. It was the flower I was named after. I seriously do love cherry blossoms, and cherry blossoms are what my name means in English.
We cooked our dinner, but I was still looking at the jewels I collected. These jewels reminded me of the cave with the giant crystal at the end, which I got rid of. As I told myself this, I looked where I stabbed myself. I’m glad I didn’t completely damage my hand, but it was pretty messed up at the time. I thought that I was going to damage a nerve or something.
We had our meal, and then went to bed. I thought about things, but what I couldn’t get out of my mind was that cool tree we found Kyo under. It was so amazing with blue leaves and pinkish vines. It seemed like a tree you could only see in fairy tales. I decided I would go take a look at the tree again tomorrow… alone.
