I was sitting in my mom's living room scrolling through my phone.
These two years have been really stressful. I've been waiting and waiting for Jordan to write to me and he still hasn't.
Maybe my mom was right, and I'm trying so hard to not believe her maybe he was just like my dad.
Not once did I ever do Jordan wrong. So why was he treating me like this?
So for these past few years it's been fuck him, I'm not finna waste my tears on a nigga dat don't even care about me.
The sad part is that I rode for Jordan hard as hell and for him to throw away 3 years of commitment is really fucked up of him.
Anyways, I'm still working at my dad's company. I told him about the tall between me and mom and he was very understanding about it, and dads little pregnant little princess was due in 3 more months. My mother on the other hand has been on my ass about this 'New man' shit and it's buggin me.
She don't see me rushing her to find someone to replace dad do She?
Alright...she wanna play games let's play.
My mom walked down the stairs and looked at me shocked.
"What?" I said looking back at her.
"What are you doing get dressed we have to go meet Andre for brunch remember?" She said as she walked to the door and put her heels on.
Andre was my mom's new quest for me, she thought he was a good catch. He was smart, charming, and had a good paying job. The only thing was...
He wasn't Jordan.
"About that..." I said getting up and walking towards the kitchen.
"I'm not going" I said opening up the fridge.
"What did you just say?" She said walking into the kitchen.
I got me a water bottle and I got her one too.
"I'm not going" I was sliding the water bottle over to her and opening mine.
"You can't not go" she said opening her.
"I'll make you a deal mom" I said drinking on my water bottle while giving her an evil look.
"Ha and what is that?" She asked drinking from her water bottle.
"I'll go to brunch with Andre...if you promise me to start looking for another man also." She almost chocked on her water.
"What that's ridiculous come on let's go I don't have time for you game Jay."She said getting mad.
"I'm not going until you promise me your going to go look for another man...dads happy and I want you to be happy too." I said giving her a small smile.
"Jay babygirl..." She said as she took in a deep breath.
"I'll make the deal even sweeter for you...ill go to brunch without you today and when he makes me his girlfriend then you'll go find you a man." I said as I wiggled my eyebrows.
"And what happens when you don't win?" She asked me crossing her arms and raising her eyebrow.
"Ugh in the chance that I won't win which is slim to nun then you don't have to go find a man
...yet" I said.
"Alright Jay I'll play your game..." My mom said walking around the counter up to me to shake my hand.
"You got yourself a deal" she said reaching out to shake my hand.
