(as told from the p.o.v. of deliliah)
AS LONG AS i can remember, I was taken care of by iron man. maybe a few days out of the week, maybe a week out of the month. it varied from time to time. the point is, he was my lifelong rescuer. if i needed it he was there, like an-uncle- that -always -babysits type.he was my best friend. mr. stark wasn't the sensitive type though, in fact he could be such a hardass. it was only through stern talking to's when i'd screwed up and vague sarcasm that i knew he cared, but it was just as good as hugs & i love you's would've been to me. it's just the way we rolled.
i'd been with pepper potts for the majority of the day, now that tony led somewhat of a regular life there was a lot less to worry about. except for today, this particular day had an ominous, looming cloud hanging over it from the beginning, just, odd.
tony stormed past me, not saying a word, breathing, gasping. there it is.
"mr. stark?"
nothing.
"tony?"
the man turned on a dime, what was anxious was now vicious, tony stark was pissed. everyone & everything within a 15 mile radius? move.
"i'm going back to the avengers tower.. no, y'know what the hell i'm not. no, i have pepper, i have you, and a freaking child, I-"
"mr.stark," i interrupted, he was practically hyperventilating, this wasn't like him, at all. "what happened?"
he huffed, hurling his body onto the sofa, "the time stones, and thanos, we,.. they need to go back in time to retrieve them, and they need me."
& that's the day my heart skipped a beat.
