Sometimes a calm river is all you need to reset back into your mind. Although some kids like me want to go to Disney-world or some place majestic, I prefer going into the wild. No buildings in sight, no cars, no streets, just rocky roads and trees to soothe you. Our family was finally able to find time for a weeks vacation. Dad was jumping up and down like a little girl in a candy store when Mom said it was time to prepare for the vacation. My aunts and uncles were going to meet us up halfway to the house in the woods we were staying in. I only decided to bring my log book to record what happens here. I still can't find a name for this gadget haha, maybe logger? Loggy sounds cool too but it's not important right now. What's important is beating my family to the canoe river. I promised I would beat Dad and the others in a race down the river. Or else I'll have to dance around the campfire like a gorilla tonight. Uncle Olger has been canoeing before so I'm only worried about him.
Greg
Alright guys welcome to the Rivers Roar attraction in this trip! My name's Greg and I'll be teaching you how to get into your canoe gear for today.
Adally
Hi everyone! I'm Adally, I'll be the one riding with you down the river to guide you on how to properly use your gear and the canoe in waters
Denshi
Can we get in already?
Dad
Wait Denshi we have to listen to the instructions
Uncle Olger
Eh I could be halfway down the river by the time the instructions are finished
Mom
I'm sure you'll end up lost again like the last time you went canoeing
Olger
Well that's because the lady forgot to tell me which river to go into
Dad
Or you didn't listen to which one she pointed out in the first place
Grandpops
He got you there son, c'mon just enjoy the view for once
Uncle Olger
(yawns) Right right
Grandmom
(shouts) Be safe Walt! Did you take your sunscreen with you?
Grandpops
Honey what are you talking about? We don't need sunscreen for this!
Mom
Actually you do dad, overtime it burns wanting to get into the river instead of canoeing over it
Grandpops
Meh whatever, I'll handle it like a man
Dad
He said a man haha
Grandpops
Denshi you can kiss my-

DENSHI WAIT!I race onto the canoe all buckled up and get into the rapid part of the waters. I see grandma on the river bank waving at me not knowing I decided to just run off. I feel the adrenaline in me rushing through my feet and head. I'm getting far ahead as if I've been canoeing before. I look back for a split second and see everyone jump into their canoes while the instruction people stay in shock. Uncle Olger starts paddling and it made me scared so I paddled faster than ever. As I get further into the river the trees get closer and closer to the river and gets darker because of their dark bark.
I slow down thinking how it got darker and look behind me trying to listen in for any shouts. Sure enough between some trees I make out Uncle Olger's figure and started going faster again. But only this time it seems as if the sun was setting super fast. "Maybe it's the mountains?" I thought to myself, but it doesn't make sense how just 20 minutes ago the sun was right above us. The water turned still but my canoe was going right through it. The sound of leaves shaking stops, so I quickly look back and shout out to my Uncle.
No response
I pull over to the side of the river and decide to wait hoping they catch up. Before I knew it it was getting too dark and began paddling my life out imagining the map in my head.
I reached the beginning point of where we started and saw some guides.Denshi
Um, hi! Did I leave my family behind?
Guide
(in shock) Oh my gosh it's him
Denshi
W-what do you mean it's me?
Guide
How did you survive out their without a scratch or food?
Denshi
C'mon guys I haven't been gone for like,
Guide
A week
