Chapter 14 Anniversary

Lisa had time off work which was good. She gets to spend a weekend in Rio for her and Ashley's one year anniversary. Danny and Kel gleefully agreed to watch Ann while they were gone. Lisa was so nervous when they got on the plane. One because she was scared of planes, a little. And two because she's leaving her daughter for the first time.

~~~ skip plane ride~~~

" I miss Ann already." Lisa sighed sadly.

" It'll be okay, babe. Let's try and enjoy ourselves. I miss her too, but we need the nap." Lisa laughed at how right he was when he said they needed the nap.

" Okay, sweetheart. I'll try." And Lisa did, after they had a long nap of course. Lisa really enjoyed herself. After a nice dinner of steak and a little red wine, they hopped on a small boat and a man took them around the beautiful waters of Rio.

Lisa was getting a weird vibe from Ashley. He seemed so nervous. Weird.

After the boat ride they got off and started for their hotel. That's when someone set off fire works. Ashley wrapped an arm around her waist and kissed her head. As the fireworks looked like they would end, one big one shot through the slightly cloudy night sky. It spelt something... 'Leslie Nicole Parker will you marry me?' That's when she felt Ashley's arm move from her waist. She looked at a tear filled Ashley on one knee, smiling like he won the lottery.

" Lisa, I can't be me without you. You and our little Ann make me smile everyday. When my love went blind and you made me see. I want to stare a lifetime into your eyes. I love you so much. Please marry me?" Ashley's tears spilled over his eyes and kept coming.

" Oh baby! Of course. That was the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me. God, I love you so much!" Lisa hugged Ashley so tight he was breathing heavily when she let him go. He slipped the ring on her finger and kissed her hand after.

" Sorry, honey. I didn't mean to hug you so tightly. Now let's say we go back to the hotel and..." Ashley gripped her wrist and almost dragged her to their room before she could finish.

"I'm sorry. But I love you so so much. I would Die For You. The Drug In Me Is You and this is our Rebel Love Song. But In The End you are my Fallen Angel. You use Knives and Pens as Perfect Weapons. And I will marry the Mortician's Daughter for I will have my Victory Call. I see you are Picture Perfect in my eyes. I'll hear The Heavens Calling and I'll feel like King For A Day. I will not be Faithless but will have a Heart Of Fire. I Remember You always and forever. Because If I'm James Dean You're Audrey Hepburn. I-I love you." He choked on his tears as he said this. Lisa could not control the tears streaming down her face.

They went inside and put the little ' Don't Disturb' sign on the door and locked it. He kissed her with as much passion as he could give, which was alot.

" I love you so much, babe. I will never hurt you. If I do I will personally kick my own ass, and have all the guys I know and ask them to beat me up. That's how much I would hate myself if I did that, which I never will. I can't express how happy you make me feel."

" I love you too. I can't even believe this is real. I've always wanted to be with you. I fell in love with you the first time I saw your picture. I remember I was 18. From that day forth I loved you. And I defiantly love you even more now. I'm so happy to be a part of your life, but even more that your in mine. You accepted my family and took them as they are. We all have flawed wings. I can accept your smallest of flaws, if you accept all of mine." Ashley kissed her even more passionately than before.

He grabbed her arm lightly and looked it over. His brows furrowed like he was trying to see her scars the best he could. He analyzed each and everyone and softly kissed them. He kissed every single one he could find and stopped when he reached the most resent one. The one where she almost killed herself along with Little Ann. Lisa can't look at her Little Ann without thinking about it, and Ashley's the same way. He softly rubbed it back and forth as if he could brush it away. But they both know that won't happen, no matter how much they wanted it gone. He kissed it a bit longer than the other ones.

" I love you so much, Ashley." Lisa said, her breathing had quicken in a flash. When she meant he kissed all her scars she meant that. There were scars all over her body. And that's what made her feel special. This time it felt even better than their first time. That and the fact he's not that drunk. I mean they both drank about half a bottle of wine.

As they both lay there gasping he hummed to the song I Remember You. The same song that sealed the deal on their perfect first date.

" Happy Anniversary, Lisa." Ash said sleep clear in his voice.

" Happy Anniversary, Ash." Then they both drifted to a nice peaceful sleep.
