*Eliza's POV*

My arm hurts... It's been a week and it still hasn't healed. I'm begining to think it's infected. It's always red and inflamed and when I touch it, pain fills my whole arm.

"Can I stay home?" I asked Becky. My foster dad was already at work, so it was her decision.

"Hm... I don't know Eliza. Do you have any tests?"

"No Ma'am. I just don't want my arm to hurt all day."

She pondered on the consequences and finally nodded. I smiled and gave her a quick hug, careful to not hurt my arm. After that, I ran upstairs and closed my bedroom door behind me.

I wonder if Alex was at school...

Hey :D, I texted him. After that, I waited.. And waited... And yet again waited some more. After 30 minutes, I gave up and walked downstairs for something to eat. I was the only foster kid here at the moment and I even heard them discussing my adoption. God I hope so... I hate getting used to one place, and then having to leave after a year.

I walked into my favorite place.. The kitchen. So many things that can sooth a hungry stomach... So little time. After much consideration, I finally decided on some ramen noodles. Don't judge me! I was hungry and they're quick to make.

Walking back upstairs with my ramen, I closed the door and sat on my bed. Something was off... I didn't hear anything, nore did I see anything... Something was just... Off.

"Miss me?" I heard a voice say. I dropped my bowl of ramen, causing the peices of the bowl to fly everywhere. I back up against the wall and grab the closest thing possible... My weapon that may just save my life... A lamp.

It was the devil himself... The demon with green eyes. He laughed and walked over to me. I flinched and swung aimlessly. I felt the lamp hit something, and I looked up, only to find that he had effortlessly caught it in his hands. He grinned and squeased the lamp, breaking it. I yeped and curled into a tiny ball, shrinking down the wall. He rolled his eyes.

"Oh please. I'm not going to hurt you... IF you listen."

I looked up at him to see a hand, reaching out to help me. I hesitated but finally grabbed it, being helped up. I was still staying to the wall.

"What do you want?" I asked quietly.

"Oh it's not what I want." He said, grabbing my chin and pulling me to look at him. "It's just that something in this house belongs to me. And I came to retrieve it."

"Then just take it and leave! Whatever you want! Just get out of here."

He laughed again, and grabbed my arms forcefully.

"As you wish."

Within seconds, I was hurled out of the bedroom and into the hall. He began shouting at me. Telling me to get three things I hold dear. When I didn't move, he shoved me. I put my hands up in defence and rushed into my room, getting my backpack.

Three things...

I shoved my laptop and its charger into the bag. Along with a photo album I had with me and my real family. One more thing... Hmm...

Just as he walked through the door to get me, I grabbed my book. It was just a book with blank pages, beside the ones that I already drew in. This book held my life. I wasn't forgetting it.

"COME ON!" He shouted. I flinched at his tone, but hurried downstairs. He pushed me out the back door and into the woods. I've never been in these woods before... I never really was an outdoor girl.

As we made our way farther into the forest, the air chilled. The ground became flatter and a fog settled in. The vast oak trees were replaced with tall skinny ones. No leaves whatsoever...

"OVER HERE!" He shouted. I followed him and he led me to a small shack. We stepped inside and the temperature didn't change. It was so cold...

"You brought a laptop right?" He asked. I nodded and he smiled evily.

"Good! Because that's where I'll be staying tonight. Oh and... Don't try to run. No one will find you."

With those words of wisdom, he became a flash that was absorbed into my laptop. I wanted to wake him. I wanted to tell him that it was freezing... But I was afraid. I didn't know what he would do...

Then again, I wasn't too sure about my actions either.
