RING RING
"Okay okay! Calm your tits!" I yell into my phone. This is the fifth time Eric has called me after somehow breaking his computer 5 hours before a huge essay is due. The essay is due at midnight, so he's currently bothering me at 7 in the evening.
"You know what? I'm just gonna come over to your house. This is was too confusing over the phone."
I'm about to leave the call until I remember, "Hey! Mr. Prince. Where do you live?" Eric didn't live in the castle with the rest of his family because he wanted to feel more "independent."
"I live at..."
Eric gives me his address and I ask my driver to drop me off at the location. It's been six months since I've come into this world. So far I've become close with everybody. We were one month into the school year when I reincarnated. Luckily I've turned my reputation around and am now liked by the student body.
Once I arrive, I'm greeted by a semi-large manor, with beautiful landscaping. It was almost as beautiful as the gardens back home.
"Eric," I yodel as I let myself in through the front door. Geez, this prince should have a way better security system or else he'll get killed.
"Up here!" I look up and I see a panicked face looking down at me from the second floor. I take off my shoes and walk upstairs.
"Okay I'm here, now what's the problem?"
"Okay, so," Eric launches into a detailed explanation of what happened while I think about ways to help him. After a few hours of getting nowhere, I give up.
"Hey, how bout we take a break now?" I ask hopefully.
Sensing that I would explode if we didn't, Eric nods in reply. "Let's get some food downstairs." He says as he stands up. I follow his lead and walk downstairs behind him.
He walks into the pantry and returns with some cheese and crackers. Some wine would be great with this. "You drink wine?" Eric asks as he walks to the far side of the kitchen.
"Huh?"
"You just said that some wine would be great with this. You drink wine?" He repeats while returning with a bottle of red wine.
"Well, yeah, sometimes." I reply shrugging. Yep. Totally not a big deal that an underage 15 year old drinks wine. Whatever, now I'm rich. Isn't this what rich kids do?
He pops open the bottle and pours both of us a drink. Should I be concerned? "Thank you." I say, clinking glasses with him.
We chat as we drink and snack on the cheese and crackers.
A few drinks later I feel fired up again. I turn to Eric who looks slightly drunk and say, "Want to go work on it again?"
"Yeah... *hic* I'll follow you upstairs."
Hopefully he can walk upstairs without falling. He's only had two drinks! I put my hands on my hips and sigh, "I'm going to help you walk up the stairs, okay?"
He nods his head and holds my awaiting hand.
"Okay, slowly, one foot in front of the other, that's it, okay," I whisper encouraging words to him. "Thank you." He gratefully replies.
Once we arrive back in his bedroom, I log back into his computer while he sits on his bed. After tinkering with his computer for a bit, I finally get it to work! "Okay! I'm done..." I turn back to look at him but he's already fast asleep.
I walk over and sit beside him. I admire his face, especially his eyelashes. Why does he have better lashes than me? I brush aside stray strands of hair that have covered his forehead.
"Sweet dreams," I whisper as I brush a soft kiss against his forehead. I stand up to go but a hand grabs onto mine as I begin to leave. I jump and turn around, only to see Eric sitting up. I let out a relaxed breath. "Geez, don't scare me like tha-" I'm cut off as he pulls me towards him, pinning me under his body.
"You're drunk." I say matter-of-factly.
"What if I was faking it?" He replies.
"That's kind of weird."
"You believed it though."
"Of course I did. I've never been out drinking with you."
"But still."
I flick him on the forehead.
"Ow! Why are you so violent!"
I chuckle, "Why are you such a baby?"
He pouts and buries his face into the crook of my neck. "Woahhh there buddy," I say as I push him away, "a little too close for comfort."
"I'm being a baby."
I stare at him for a few seconds and burst into laughter. "Haha you're such a loser!"
"Is that really what you should call the next king of this country?"
"Oh yeah, I kinda forgot that you were a prince."
He smiles. "I like it when you do it though. Don't stop, treat me like you would to anyone else."
"Well I'm obviously going to treat you a little differently during social gatherings because you're my future husband, but I'll treat you like how I treat my friends. After all, you are one of my friends."
When he heard that his ears turned a bit pink. He sighs and says, "You're cruel, you know?"
I tilt my head and his face turns even more red. "You look like a tomato." I say bluntly.
His eyes turn a bit dark and I see them dilate. He leans towards me, so close, our noses are almost touching. Now it's my turn to look like a tomato. "Eric...?" I breathe out.
He brings face closer towards me and gives me a light peck on my mouth. For some reason I feel unsatisfied. I pout and Eric chuckles. "Fine, do you want more?" I nod and he begins to kiss me. Like, actually kiss me. His soft lips meet mine, but he only holds it there. He has no idea what to do!
I guess I have to take control. I grab his hair and nibble on his lip while holding onto his shoulder with my other hand. This earns a groan from him. Encouraged, I decide to slip my tongue inside and tilt my head a bit.
We kiss for a while and then break apart. I open my eyes and see him staring at me. His entire face was red. So cute! I smile as I begin to run my hand through his hair. He lays his head down my chest and hugs me.
"That was my first time, you know."
I laugh. "You make it sound like I took your virginity."
"Well, you will."
My eyes widen. This guy! He's so blunt! He is true though, unless the heroine somehow manages to win his heart. I smack his head lightly. "Eric! You're so blunt!"
He smiles. "It's true though. Please be gentle with me."
I laugh. "You're so weird!"
"You like it though."
I sigh and bring his face close to mine. I give him a peck on the lips and say, "I suppose I do."
